year 6 update. This product still looks as good as it did the day I installed it. No rust or miscoloring. My radiator has been protected. There has been a noticeable difference in the reduction of damage from rocks on my radiator. At the same time, my engine and transmission have no difference in temperature. Overall, I love this product, and I highly recommend this for any vehicle it fits. ------------------------------------------- This is a Must for for 2018 duramax. I noticed the factory left an opening at the front of the truck under the grill exposing the transmission radiator just above the license plate. After only 8k miles on my new truck I noticed the radiator fins had crushed or dented from rocks getting in there at highway speeds. I thought after 100k miles I would need to replace the radiator at the rate it was being dented. My wife got me this for Christmas. Its not 100% protection against rocks but I know it will block probably 50% - 60% while still allowing air to flow. It installed in about 20 min. Super easy and no drilling needed. Just a small wrench and an allen wrench. Love the look and the fact it’s quality and heavy duty. Good gift from the wife. :)

Anyone who has a leter model Duramax engine with Allison transmission knows that the transmission cooler is very vulnerable in the middle of the bumper. a well placed rock or other road debris can puncture it and leave you stranded. Well, I think that this great looking guard would make that highly unlikely. It is well built, goes on easy and looks great.

I love this product not only for its looks but also because it serves a very practical and useful purpose. it helps protect the trans oil cooler from all kinds of flying road debris. It looks good, easy to install and adds a nice finished look to the front of your truck. It's also American made and that's a big plus! Also, another quick note. It does not affect your trans oil cooler's ability to keep the trans oil cool. You can put that worry aside.

Well constructed kit. Looks great and provides protection for the oil cooler too. Easy installation. Highly recommended.

This is just what I was looking for to hide the ugly oil cooler radiator in the front of my 2017 Chevy 2500HD Duramax. I can't understand why Chevy would leave such an unsightly radiator showing and being exposed to rocks, bugs and birds. I am so glad that someone made such a nice looking cover for this area on these trucks that still allows great air flow for cooling. It fit perfectly, had good instructions and was very easy to install.

Install was simple ~15 min. Quality parts and definitely looks much better, looking into getting a LED strip to put put in there so it lights up at night. Although it could be just me but seems my tranny temps run a bit higher because it causes the transmission cooler to get less airflow which is why gm leaves them open like thag (and ik some fords do to). No overheating problems yet but its only been 20° F where im at. We'll see how it does come summer and im towing with it 80 and humid. But like i said could be just me used to just glance at it here Nd there but ive kept an eye on it since install. Just this morning i started it and the tranny temp was at 160° F by the time high idle turned off maybe others who have this can chime in

Only complaint is it doesn’t stick out a ton when looking at truck from straight ahead and it’s very hard to get a picture of the radiator cover where u can see it well. Besides that, in person it really adds a nice touch to the truck and the material is super high quality. Also installation took 15 minutes and could have been done in a little over 5 if you know what you are doing.

Item was received earlier than promised, which made me happy. Installed on a 2015 Chevrolet Siverado 2500 HD High Country Duramax diesel.Install was very easy. Took me about 10 minutes and I was taking my time. Insert filled the opening perfectly. Only issue I had was the right side sits about a 1/8 deeper into the opening than the left. Probably a variation in the bumper from the mfg and nothing to do with this product. Shimmed it up on the behind the right side of the insert with a few washers between the bracket and insert so it lines up identical to the left side. I am very pleased with this product.
