Got this for SO, She loves them
My GF bought a pair of closeout Skechers similar to these a year ago, but has since wore them out because she walks a lot. So, when I saw these on sale, I decided to surprise her. The good news is that she loves them. The bad news is she will not wear them out because they are so nice until she Scotch Guards the velvety portion of them. They look really stylish and great on her. She says they are very comfortable, but need to break them in a bit. She wore them for a few miles of walking and regretted she didn't break them in first because she got a blister on the back of her ankle from them because of their newness. We can’t blame the shoes, since all decent sos have to be broken in while light wear until they conform to the foot. These will not be the last pair of Skechers in this form factor I get her. But next time I also give her a can of Scotch Guard with them.

cute and comfy--even years later
I loved these so much I bought two pairs. They are cute enough to wear to work, but feel more like a sneaker. I wear a size 11, and sometimes narrow can be tight, wide too loose, but these (11 B/M) fit perfectly. I love Skechers!UPDATE: I wrote this review in 2013. It is now January 2017, and as I sit here typing, I am wearing these shoes. I just noticed that the side is coming apart a little by the strap, but I wear these all the time and I am shocked that they haven't ripped or torn before now. I did put an insert in these, but I have foot problems, so I do that with all shoes. These are still so comfortable. I'm replacing the pair on my feet right now, and maybe buying them in another color while I'm at it!

Cute and Comfy
These shoes were purchased for a young lady who would rather not have on shoes. They do run slightly big, but the usual size you wear should be fine. She says they are comfortable and don’t cause her to slip on the school floors. They are not wide width shoes for anyone who needs that shoe width. She has worn these shoes off and on for years. This time around is the first time I heard her say they are uncomfortable after a while. Again, she would rather not wear shoes and might say that about any shoe. The shoes are cute, easy to wear and care for and they look nice. I would recommend and repurchase.

Purchased 2 pairs, one was a little too big, the other was WAY too big...
These were a bit too large, but I had injured my foot and my foot swelled and so width wise, they were fine. Length wise, they were a bit long.Really comfortable (as can be). I bought these shoes because of my foot injury- I had fallen and somehow twisted the the knuckle of my big toe. I believe it is cracked, but I won't go to the doctor.Anyway, these kept the pressure off of that knuckle, while I walked around San Francisco 5 days as a tourist. I was surprised at how comfortable they were. I cannot wear sneakers because of pain, but these were great. I wore them from morning to night.I gave it 4 stars because of the size and because it did cause me to form a blister on my heel, even though I was wearing trouser socks (perhaps because bc the of the size issue, or maybe the lip is too stiff, not sure what's the culprit). I am going to use a thicker sock and hopefully that will help.As far as 'looks' go, these were not too bad, more 'grown up' than an actual sneaker. The pic looks a bit deceiving - the smooth leather part looks like a patent finish in the pic, but it is NOT. It is just a regular leather finish, which I was relieved about, not shiny.I am not sure I will buy a second pair, because I purchased these in brown (toffee) and they were HUGE! Maybe a full size too large. Thick socks wouldn't have helped. I was really disappointed to return them.I hesitate to purchase these again since they don't seem consistent in their sizing.

They are fine for just kicking around
I kept these. It's probably just my feet, but I found them to be thin soled & uncomfortable. Cute though. 1 of the resident canines felt the need to chew the strap off of 1 but I have a friend who fixes things & he was able to repair it. They are fine for just kicking around, but don't think you can do 8 hours on your feet in them. I wore Skechers & ONLY Skechers for Years for work, but they just don't do it for me anymore. :-( When they 1st came out w/the Step Ups, I was shoe shopping w/my (then) boyfriend & I laughed & said "OH MY GOD LOOK AT THOSE HIDEOUS SHOES!!! Who the F-would Ever buy those?". A very clever (probably on commission) clerk was like, "OK, not that sexy, but let me put you in a pair". "Ha ha, yeah, sure". We walked out w/4 pairs of new shoes, 3 of them were Skechers (I forget the 4th). "You have Got to try these!" so he bought a pair too. At the time they were a bit pricey for us (about $140 a pair) but as we made our living on our feet it was a good investment. If they made them like they used to, I would joyfully pay it again (& they did last a long time). These, well, the best I can say is that they are Almost dog-proof, but again, it may just be that my feet are screwed up. Prior to these I favored Danskos but that's a whole different thing-almost the same story-I thought those are Almost cute...clerk had me try them on & it was like marching around on wooden blocks, asked him if he was Nuts. "Just try them, if you really hate them we'll take them back" (it was a great store, they always gave me a discount & when they went out of business I almost felt like a Thief, they only carried high end stuff, at 70-80% off plus my 10, I bought almost everything they had in my size whether I liked it or Not, because I'd gotten to know them). Those shoes you have to buy a half size larger than you normally wear. For a few days I was like, that SOB, how did I get conned into this...By the end of the week, I noticed my feet weren't 'tired' anymore at the end of a shift. By the end of the 30 days my feet didn't hurt at All anymore, ever. Those shoes also lasted forever, I bought a second pair & then alas! they discontinued the ones I liked. I Hate shoe shopping anyway-obviously if I find a brand or style I like I will stick w/it, but honestly I haven't found a suitable replacement. I am 43 now & I don't think I can go through the breaking in period w/another pair of Danskos-it's not a shoe you put on & think "ooh, Comfort!" quite the opposite (more like 'why am I wearing these too large clunkers?'). Whereas I Love Skechers at 1st, but when I can't walk 3 days later (w/these newer ones) I am just Angry. I'm old enough to remember when there were Real shoe guys, same store your mom brought you to as a kid, they'd haul out that weird medieval torture device to measure your foot (I think that was just for show) & unless you skipped town young (like I did) or married someone w/a foot fetish, That dude Knew your feet better than you did. That last Great shoe store was the 1st & last of its kind I know of. They had a regular clientele (mostly people in the gaming industry) & me, for instance-I lived close by & every December the Humane Society would rent out a space in the same strip mall they were in, I'd drop food off for them (& yes they conned me into a cat) so I'd pop into the store-when I needed a pair-they knew nothing Bored me like shoes so eventually they'd just say "Hi, here for the Danskos?" "Yup". "Would you like to...?" "Nope". I only bought the Ana Techs during their closing sale (& a bunch of Birkenstocks) but I was quite happy w/them. It's hard to find a good Shoe, or shoe Store anymore..! Kind of makes me wish I'd been nicer to the few good shoe people I've Known!
