So I have an Alienware m16 R1, and that boy is chunky. Although it's a 16-inch, it has a back rim that makes it 17, I guess. This sleeve is perfect for my needs. The cover has some space left, but I don't mind that at all as the bag fits it in quite snugly. But if you dont like the extra space in your sleeve and have a similar laptop like I do, you can go for a size smaller.

Fits my 17" gaming laptop with ease, quality zip and padding. I purchased just so that it does not get scratched by anything else in my backpack when I take to work daily. does the job just fine
