UPDATE: A little food grade craft paint (Posca paint pen, Dark Brown, sealed with Mod-Podge "dishwasher safe" with the blue label) makes the color more tolerable. I couldn't handle the silver Viking ship any longer. ORIGINAL POST: I really like the design and graphic details of the Viking ship and warrior on this sturdy mug. My only complaint is that the color doesn't look at all like the woodsy brown in the ad. It's more of a silver with random black streaks giving it a goofy, cheap, pewter-ish kind of look. I'm considering buying a food-grade brush on craft paint to give it more of a wood tone to match the original theme of the Viking ship.

These look great and nobody says "Oh ya I have theses same cups at home" they do say these cups are sick. They do ask, as they sip the whiskey I use them for, where did you get these cups? I don't tell them (sorry to the manufacturer) but they either figure it out or suffer. There is felt on the bottom of them so I just hand wash them, no dishwasher. They are lighter in weight than I thought they would be, the resin is very light, in the photos they look to be very solid but they are not only the inside cup insert is stainless steel. Recommended.
