How many digits to the right of the decimal place are there in the ohms mode? I need at least three.

It depends on what range of resistance is being tested. 50ohms will show 3 decimal places (50.000) the next range @ 500 will show two (500.00) above 500 will have you in a the 5K ohm range which will show up to 5.0000 or 4 places. At 50K ohm the cycle is back to 3 places. This cycle repeats until the 5M ohm range. The next range is to 30M ohm @ 3 places after the decimal. Everything tested has fewer. 30-50M ohm shows two places. 50-500 shows one. Remember however that accuracy is more important than displayed value. This meters quoted specs are quite accurate. However at the high end of resistance measurement this accuracy falls off significantly.
