I've tried dozens of known & unknown makes of hair dryers and 90% of them just do not have strong enough or powerful enough air flow. This one does. Slightly stronger than The baby Bliss but with wider nozzle for better drying. The 5 times faster drying than other hair dryers claim it makes on their box is actually not far off. This unit also has good look, feel, settings, attachments. Does a great job at drying & styling w/o frizzing up your hair. Loud not extreme. Price was reasonable. Longevity (as of this writing had a month - too soon to tell) So far checks most of my boxes. I would purchase this again.

I love this hair dryer! It has STRONG blowing power on high speed, it can blow velcro rollers out of your hair if they are not well anchored and it will blow light things off the bathroom counter. Some may not like that, but I appreciate it. It dries my hair super quickly which is what I want it to do. The hot setting, for me, is just right; on my last hair dryer I had to constantly toggle between warm and hot because the hot was too hot and the warm was too cool.

I bought this hair dryer to replace an Xtava with the same specs that I purchased about 9 years ago. A realistic review after owning two dryers with the same specs? It’s as good as my other dryer was—definitely not worse, but not amazingly better, either. I suspect that reviews calling this thing amazing are written by people who haven’t had a dryer that’s actually comparable in terms of power. Don’t get me wrong—it’s DEFINITELY a step up from what you can buy in a drug store! But it is going to revolutionize your life, either. If you don’t know how to give yourself a blow out, this thing isn’t going to magically turn you into a professional (see photo for case in point)! What it WILL do is dry your hair quickly. I have TONS of hair (crazy thick and annoying), and it made relatively quick work of it, but I’ll still have to use another styling tool to smooth it out and generally make it look less crazy. One annoying feature that may be a pro or con depending on how you look at it: I’d seen and ignored a few reviews mentioning that the switches were in a poor spot, but they are basically in the worst spot imaginable. They are right on the handle, so every time you use the dryer you have to be SUPER careful not to toggle either of the switches. It actually ended up working in my favor because I realized I was able to use the lower heat setting and still finish pretty quickly (and as an added bonus, I wasn’t all sweaty and gross when I finished)! But if you’re particular about maintaining a steady heat that you easily control, you may want to work elsewhere. In sum: it’s a keeper! But I won’t be giving out professional blow-outs any time soon.

I am very satisfied with this dryer. It has several temperatures and speeds. It is perfect to achieve quick results. I am very happy to have bought it 🥰

This is a very powerful hair dryer, good for thick, long hair. My hair is short so the highest power is too much. But I can tell that it is well made and on par with a salon hair dryer. It is on the large side, so I think it is really too big for traveling. It would take up a lot of room. And it is fairly heavy, quite heavy to hold in one hand while holding a brush in the other hand for any length of time. If you don't mind large and heavy then you will be pleased with this dryer.

We bought this hair dryer because our nearly 20 year old Conair 1875 was showing its age. Although it was still working, and we didn't want to scramble for one when it gave out. We tried a Yellow Bird, but didn't care for it and like the John 6900 a lot more. At 2200 watts it is hotter than an 1875 watt dryer and it moves more air. That said, this is not that much hotter and for someone with long thick hair, it may not be enough. It works for us. We don't have a problem with the toggle switches on the side of the handle. Our old Conair had them there an we just hold the dryer below switches. It is not a heavy dryer. We were able to catch a sale, so for $40 or so, it seems like a really good deal. Time will tell how long it lasts. But for now it is as good, or better, as any dryer we have had.
