Perfect way to mount both RCT515 and RCT 715 radars to common seat post mount
So at the current point Garmin offers an RCT715 rear radar with a lock lever mount and the original RCT515 with the quarter turn mount. Having 5 bikes all with the female quarter turn seat post mount, I was looking for a common mounting strategy. Using this and "permanently" putting into the female bike post mount now turned it into a go pro style universal mount. Garmin offers a lock lever mount to go pro mount and a female quarter turn to go pro mount in their seat kit. Thus both units can now use the same common interface and problem solved. Would love to simplify and use the lock lever seat mount and have the RCT715 mount directly and then an adapter that would go quarter turn female to the male lock lever button and put this on RCT515 but alas, does not exist. This was a life saver to allow me to run both rear radar units across all bikes. Simply move this adapter from bike to bike and all is good......

It wasn’t cheap $.
It fits just fine. It remains to be seen just how durable it is. Being made of plastic, I’m sure it isn’t something that should be left in prolonged exposure to sunlight. Realistically, I don’t see it lasting longer than what my experience tells me. I’m just glad someone thought to make them! 👌

Perfect fit for Garmin Extended Out-Front Mount
I have yet to actually use this adapter on a ride, but I've attached it to my Garmin Extended Out-Front mount that came with my Garmin Edge 520 Plus and the fit seems perfect. It locks in place with a quarter turn just like any other Garmin computer mount and I'm pretty confident that it won't come loose while riding. I plan to use it for my Cateye headlight and it seems sturdy enough. Will probably buy another for my girlfriend's bike so that she can attach her GoPro to her Garmin mount.

Tight fit
I like this. It works well. Just a tad bit of a tight fit to turn it. But hey, that's better than being a loose fit in this instance. Would buy again.

Works great for my GoPro
I have an aero handle bar, and didn't want to fork $90+ for a mount that fits my handlebar. I was able to mount the KOM under my handlebar with the extra rubber loop bands that came with my Garmin computer, in a cross fashion. It held my GoPro really nicely and now I can record my rides!

Not as advertised. Loose fit.
The item was shown as being alloy or metal. Item is made of plastic. The fit isn’t tight and there is quite a bit of play.

Loose fit in Cycplus bicycle handlebar mount
I bought this adapter to mount a Gopro on my bicycle handlebars. I wanted to use a Cycplus mount bracket that I already owned. See pictures. The KOM adapter fit loosely in the Cycplus bracket, allowing the camera to wiggle and slightly flop around. This was disappointing because I thought I'd found the perfect solution when I ordered it. Aren't these mounting devices supposed to be standardized? I figured it wouldn't be worth it to send it back after time, gas money and possibly postage so I kludged together a fix. I folded a plastic grocery produce bag into about 4 layers and cut out a 2x2 inch square. I laid that over the mount and smushed (<-technical word) the adapter into it and turned it to lock it in. Then I trimmed away some of the excess plastic. It's not pretty, but it works. The plastic bag material takes up enough space to make the mount fit much tighter. Funny how a person can burn half a day on a small "gotchya" problem like this. One other thing I disliked about this product was the tightening bolt with a hex drive head. See picture. Also, the tightening nut on the adapter appears to be plastic, not metal. It comes with a small hex wrench which I have already misplaced. I replaced the bolt with one of my spare Gopro tightening bolts with a finger grip. This kludgy setup will work for short, one or two hour rides where I don't have to change out a memory card or battery, but if I were to do extended riding and video shooting, I would buy a matched bracket and adapter from the same company to insure a tighter fit and no hassles.
