The Cure to Engine Light! CRV 2012
I bought a generic one from AutoZone, but my engine light did not go away!!! You need to get the OEM!! Installed this one and problem solved. REMEMBER: you will also need to buy the Rldym Fuel Filler Cap Clip 91594-SNA-A01. You need this Clip to connect your gas cap to the body of the car for the CR-V 2012 and some other Hondas.

Fits very well and easily to screw on and off
Really great! It's much better than the regular non-Honda cap sold in auto-shops.

Perfect fit for Acura RDX 2014, challenge to get tether plastic housing sorted out
Nice to see OEM Honda parts fit my Acura. To combat the dreaded "Loose Gas Cap" warning and the subsequent "Check Emissions Control" system light that I narrowed down to P0455 fault code [EVAP System leak detected - Large Leak] using an Ancel OBDII code reader, I decided to switch out the gac cap & tether. Gas cap fit fine, but tether removal was a major challenge. I finally found another Amazon review that explained that there is a clamp release on the bottom of the tether plastic clamshell housing. I inserted a small flat head screwdriver behind it and applied a little pressure to release the clamp that held the plastic housing in place. Once released, I could slide it down and off (still attached to the old gas cap via tether). Inside the house, I tried unsuccessfully to push down on the #2 clamp ends on the right and left sides of the clamshell housing while trying to open the clamshell. In the end, I must have loosened something, because I then inserted my small flat head screwdriver into the opening and turned a little to hear a click and then the clamshell opened. I removed the old tether and installed the new tether in seconds, closing the clamshell again (click) and reinserting the housing back into the opening in the gas cap metal housing, pushing it up until the first clamp reengaged. Now waiting to see if I see another Loose Gas Cap or Check Emissions Control System warning light...

Stick with OEM
OEM cap! I tried an aftermarket option first and the gasket failed quickly. Much better to stick with the OEM cap. Fits 2010 Acura MDX

My cousin’s honda civic 2010 had a message saying “check gas cap” and sometimes the check engine would come on and off and i figured it would need a new gas cap after scanning the car with a obd2 machine. I bought this gas cap and for some reason the delivery was a week late even tho i paid extra to get it in 2 days or so. When i received it i went to my cousins place and reset the code and install the new gas cap. I took the car for a test drive and everything went well BUT as soon as i got at my cousins place the same message “check gas cap” showed up and after the check engine was on. I park the car and scanned it again with the obd2 machine and the same code was there This gas cap will NOT fix your problem , was a waste of money and was also not cheap If you want to risk it and waste your hard earned money go ahead and buy it The only positive thing is that it seems that is a genuine honda part but i’m not 100% sure

Way to expensive for a fuel cap, dont buy from Honda! Go out and buy a non OEM, way cheaper.
