Cauldron can cherry pick the best elements from other bands of that genre and beyond. Definite notes of Sabbath, early Scorps guitar riffs, plus a heavy dose of Rainbow esque lyrical content. Not a masterwork by any means but worlds beyond what other metal bands are doing at this time. Very much a less polished stripped down type sound that emphasizes solid riffs over any studio magic. Have purchased "In Ruin" as well and have similar praise. Excellent listen. Review: One of her best deep cuts - This was a Japan exclusive song that release as a bonus for Bday back in the day! Which makes no sense considering the name & lyrics but whatever. It’s nice to have tangible evidence of a nostalgic childhood song since she refuses to put it on streaming.

Outstanding musicians!
This band is ridiculously competent at playing their instruments. The album isn't overproduced. It has a simple old school sound, but it only seems well produced simply because of how tight the performances are. The guitar and vocals are completely under command, and the lyrics are hilarious. Mostly it consists of an Iron Maiden/Helloween sound, very well executed. I only give it 4 stars because it has some traces of glam that I didn't notice while initially sampling the music. I don't mean bad corporate glam, but rather a strong trace of more respectable glam bands like Ratt or Wasp in many of the songs. I'm unfortunately a bit closed minded about this - I could never warm up to that genre. So consider my review to be adjustable. If you are okay with the L.A. hard rock of the early 80's, my rating is a perfect 5 because the songwriting is amazing, and each song is loaded with energy. If you are little more snobby like me about your metal, you may consider it a 3, so keep sampling their songs to make sure it is what you're after.

Good NWOTHM album.
Summoned to Succumb was what got me to take a chance on this album, I absolutely loved that song from the first time I saw the video on YT. Some songs are damn good, others are just decent. Vocals are good but nothing spectacular, I'd compare him to Ace Frehley (they both carry a tune just fine, but not a lot of range in their vocal styles). I like it a lot, I just don't completely love it. It's not a perfect album, but a pretty solid one nonetheless.

Average
I really like Cauldron's debut album but this one sort of lets me down. It sounds generic and the vocalist sounds uninspired and boring here. He doesn't generate much enthusiasm and almost sounds like he is just speaking.

the make is not good enough, but the design is wonderful...
