Excellent read for all those interested in Australian Heritage
An interesting look at a man ofttimes mis-represented. Rob Mundle has examined 'the other side' of Bligh's personality to reveal a brilliant person. Great read for anyone interested in 'where and what we come-from'. Although this book spdends minimal time on Bligh's Australian sojour, it shows the character and fortitude of out early Governor.

Varied
This is an incredible story. The book starts out slow but once Bligh is on the Endeavor in an effort to bring bread foot back the story comes to life. It was frustrating to not understand the real causes of the mutiny. Perhaps even Bligh never understood but some piece of the puzzle is missing. Either Bligh changed his leadership style or the real cause of the mutiny remains a puzzle.

A Must read
I was enthralled from chapter 1 and couldn't put it down, reading all day until finished. It totally changed my opinion of Bligh, he was not the tyrant the movies made him out to be. Rob Mundle wrights in a very compellling way, easy to read and understand. A must read

A great addition to Mundle's heroic seafarers books. A great read.
An enlightening book about a genuine seafaring hero. As usual well written by Mundle who keeps the narrative flowing. He details an extraordinary man and a more extraordinary life. A history that, together with Mundle's "Cook" and "Flinders" should be compulsory for anyone interested in the beginnings of Australia.

Very, very good.Rob Mundle is among my favourite authors and he seems to get better at each outing, although I suspect that he will eventually run out of subjects. Highly recomended for anyone who likes a story with a touch of salt to it.

A good read which is historically accurate.
The book suffers greatly from a lack of maps and charts.

Aggravation Caused By Perfectionism
There certainly is a lot more to Captain Bligh than mutiny, rum and convicts.
