Smartphones made for the EU benefit from an EU-wide warranty ( Including Switzerland and Norway ) for two years from the date of purchase; the warranty can be validated with a copy of the original proof of purchase; bear in mind that refurbished, reconditioned and second hand devices do not benefit from warranty ( 2nd hand devices apply provided that the proof of purchase of the original purchaser can be shown as proof ).
