Provided you with different DSM5 diagnoses then you can see what could be used as a goal, intervention and objectives Pros. All of this series’s of books are designed and laid out;. found them beneficial for beginning active treatment planning and determining what would be a starting place. Numerous books focusing on specific populations Cons. They can get a little redundant if you use the same book for all clients. Not all these match the explanations of diagnosis. So you have to double check with the DSM5.

This book is easy to use, it is backed by quality research, and it is priced quite well for what it offers. I highly recommend it to any practitioner that is looking to add a new tool to their toolkit. Well worth every penny spent.

I have been a LPCC-S for years and this is my go to when writing diagnostic summaries or progress notes. Such a time saver! Clinically significant changes and updates have been made for DSM-5 that this purchase was worth the price as I will utilize as a reference for years to come. Gladly recycled the old version!

The Child Psychology Treatment Planner EXCEEDED my expectations. I use it in conjunction with the Child Psychology Treatment Notes book by the same author. I plan to purchase the Child Psychology Treatment Homework book as well. These books are invaluable to me in my counseling practice. I wish I had them years ago-the books would have saved me 100's of hours of stuggling to develop treatment plans and therapys session documentation. My clients are benefitting greatly as I can pinpoint specific treatment goals to enhance the therapy process and the Notes book is very helpful to document their progress and issues to continue to work on.

This book is for all kinds of therapists. I am new to the field and use this to help me write out my plans. Love this book. I don't like how it has medication as a goal. Don't think that is necessary but i guess they wanted to make the book larger.

This has been a wonderful go to book as I am an LPCA working with children. Writing out specific behaviors, long term goals, short term goals, and treatments can be a little overwhelming when you first start out. This book has been a life saver as it gives examples in relation to all sorts of various behaviors. I looked at multiple options before purchasing this book and have been extremely happy with my choice. I am planning on buying some of Jongsma's other works in the future.

As a school social worker this book has proven invaluable for me. Besides giving a great framework for working with children, many times I know what I'm doing but can not put it down in a few sentences that would fit insurance guidelines as well those of my agency. This book helped me put many of my treatment plans and goals on paper in a satisfactory manner. I have since bought other books in the Practice Planner series and have not been disappointed.
