This is a fantastic pencil sharpener! I am a long-term sub and I saw it in an another teacher’s classroom and she raved about it. When I started my current LT sub job, the pencil sharpener was atrocious. It was so loud and just DIDN’T work. I bought this one, had it delivered overnight. It’s been so fun to see the kids’ delight when they use it. It’s quick and sharpens most pencils perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone!

This AFMAT PS91 Electric Pencil Sharpener is hands down the best sharpener I’ve ever owned! I bought it mainly for my art classes, and now both I and my students are obsessed with it. Kids friendly and perfect size to put in a corner of my class .. i keep it near sink area .. It sharpens color pencils, graphite, and regular pencils so beautifully — fast, smooth, and without breaking the tips. I’ve tried it with Prismacolor, Caran d’Ache, and Amazon Basics color pencils — all sharpened perfectly to a fine, even point without the usual chipping. Even sketching pencils like H, 3H, and HB come out neatly pointed and ready to draw. It works equally well for all our Indian brands like Doms, Camel, Apsara, etc. The sharpness is consistent every single time. It’s quick, quiet, and powerful, saving me so much time during classes — no more students crowding around manual sharpeners or broken leads everywhere. The kids absolutely love using it — they even compete to see whose pencil comes out the sharpest! The auto-stop feature works perfectly, so there’s no risk of over-sharpening. It’s sturdy, doesn’t move around while in use, and looks sleek on the table. This sharpener is heavy duty!! It is plug in which I forgot to check before buying but it’s not a big deal. Bigger than expected. It works very well. I love that you can set it to how sharp you want it to go. Also I love that it stops sharpening when it gets sharp so that you don’t go too far. It would be great for a classroom. With 4 kids at home it’s perfect for all our pencil and colored pencil too.

Ótimo produto. É elétrico, precisa ficar na tomada para funcionar. Vem com adaptador e carregador. Ótimo, pois você controla a ponta do lápis e também o tempo que fica apontado. Serve para lápis comuns mais finos e lápis jumbo mais grossos. Gostei bastante.

Me encantó. Deja la punta de los lapices de grafito superfina en su máximo nivel. He usado lapices Staedler Mars Lumograph, Staedler Mars Lumograph Black (que son un nivel intermedio entre grafito y carboncillo) y Caran D'ache graphwood ,y deja muy fina la punta en todos estos. Posdata: No he usado Conté a Paris Pierre Noire u otros carboncillos porque para estos prefiero usar una navaja y lija para sacarles punta.

Update: after using for a few days this sharpener has lived up to my expectations, so I've upgraded my original 4* rating to 5*. With some reviews specifically stating that the plug is not UK & others making no mention of what is a rather important element of the product, I asked the question on here and received two very helpful replies confirming that it does not have a UK plug and an adaptor is required. So I went ahead and purchased together with a US to UK adaptor. This is a fabulous sharpener - set to the sharpest point I put it through its paces with various brands of coloured pencils (Holbein, Polychromos, Derwent Artists, Luminance, Derwent Drawing). I expected the Drawing to maybe cause an issue being the thickest core and very soft, but it was no problem; lovely sharp point. Auto stop prevents over sharpening and it is very easy to empty. So I'm delighted with my purchase but would suggest to Amazon that it would be more useful to the customer if the 'Buy It With' section recommends an adaptor rather than rechargeable eraser refills!!
