Energizer to Polyrope Connector Wire for Electric Fence Charger and Wire

Good value, works well

I used this on a braided electric fence. It would not close tightly around the braid. added a short piece of wire to make it tighten. Works great now.

Purchased to connect an electric fence energizer to polyrope fencing. Packaging indicates 30 inch lead length, but actually measures just about 41 inches center bore to center bore. The ring terminals are well made, as is the shrink wrapping covering the ends of the 16 AWG wire. So what's the trouble? The wire itself is only rated to 600V -- exactly the same as Romex household wire, and well below the recommended 20,000V rating for the intended use (per user guide supplied with the fence energizer).Why does this matter to you? Don't be shocked if some of the high voltage from the energizer 'leaks through' the insulation if you touch the wire while in use. Or, actually, you could be.I am keeping the aluminum polyrope connector plate, and will save the wire pig tail for another household job. I purchased a length of high voltage wire and some 'marine grade' ring terminals and fabricated my own 5 foot connector. You may wish to do the same (?)

Wire stayed in tact about 5 weeks.Requesting a replacement is not an option.
