Works great at melting snow safely for pets!

We had the snow and sleet and ice in January 2026 that stuck around for weeks. We purchased this right before the storm and used it on sidewalks and driveway. This product worked well and was worth the cost to prevent slipping on ice. We have two small dogs so having a pet friendly snow melt was a must.

A very important product for those of us who live here in the ice belt, as it seems to be pet safe. (Of course, my own pets wear booties in snow and ice.) But I found it for $17 at a Big Y supermarket in the Berkshires, far less than what is being charged on Amazon.

This product worked really well! Sometimes the pet-safe ones aren’t as effective, but this one really melted well and continued melting new falling snow. Great product!

This salt works great at melting ice - I live in North Dakota- so it’s a great test here. It feels great knowing that it won’t hurt my dogs if they walk on it. I do have to say it didn’t last long, but again, I’m in North Dakota. I would say it’s a little high priced for the size, but it is easy to use on my sidewalk with the sprinkle top and the user friendly size of the jug.

I honestly don't understand any negative reviews this product gets. It melts the ice and is safe for pets and lawn. Always shovel snow first then sprinkle some Safe Paw. What's left melts and dries up in no time. Highly recommend this product.

The product is fine. The shipment came with one of the bottle covers off so a decent amount of ice melt spilled out. I was not pleased with that.
