Sennheiser Century SC 660 Premium Dual-Sided Wired Headset (504557)

Why nobody mentions that you are only getting the headset half but not that 3.5mm to quick connect cable shown in the product picture here. Major misleading listing.

I work straight commission in a sales environment and for the past few months this headset has really enabled me to relax into my call and focus on closing the deal. They are comfortable, they feel the Mercedes of headsets and they have eliminated the hearing problems I was having with the cheap set that came with the job.

It's pretty comfortable and the sound quality works well, both in receiving and the microphone. However, a couple of years after I started using it, the wire started flaking. 3 years in, chunks started falling off. I repaired the wire using moldable glue. After 5 years of use, I've almost rebuilt the entire wire using Sugru. The remaining parts are now flaking and falling off on me, and I'm looking at having the rebuild the remaining sections of the wire. It's unfortunate that such an expensive and high end headset would utilize such cheap plastic for the wire.

I switched to this pair of headphones after a single ear set of the same type, hoping that the re-distribution of the pressure of the ear pads would be more comfortable, but, unfortunately for my head/ear shape, they're not so much. That being said, the rest is comfortable enough and I can hear well and be heard well for work. The quick disconnect cable is awesome, but purchasing it separately takes the pricetag up to nearly 200 dollars as of this review. A bundle with a discount on this item would be spectacular.

I've bought many headphones from Sennheiser, sometimes spending $300 on the nicer variety, a gaming headset and another model just for music. I've also bought cheaper Sennheiser headphones (PC 150) that were great. This one, though – especially for the price – was sorely disappointing. I could not add enough bass to save my life. No matter what I seemed to do, with Windows sound controls, made it sound any better. This is just not Sennheiser quality. The comfort was just okay, fitting on my head much nicer than my expensive gaming headset. But I needed something that was a smaller profile, so I ordered these headphones, thinking the quality would justify the price. It did not!

I am very happy with this headset. I wear it 10 hrs pr day, be it while in the office with a 2.5mm plug for my cordless phone, or I have it plugged into my Iphone 6+. I listen to audio books or something on Youtube, and can easily transition into taking incoming calls. I wear it while doing all kinds of activities, and have dropped the phone multiple times where it has yanked on the cord, and the headset still works, despite having bent the jack somewhat. I am thrilled to have found this headset, after my 10 year old Platronics headset stopped working, and their quality appears to have been slipping. It is hard to find a dual sided corded headsets. I don't want to have another thing to charge, and sync up, so much so that I am not getting the new Iphone when I need another phone as they have removed their jack. I guess I am old fashioned as I like to keep it simple is not the quality that it used to be, and this Sennheiser appears to be holding up. Another benefit to dual sided headphones is that they work as ear warmers in the winter months :)

I upgraded the Sennheiser 260 that my job gave me because of the poor quality. These were a welcomed upgrade! Very comfortable and excellent sound quality!

Really wanted to like this headset. Willing to pay extra for superior headphone in a headset. However, while the voice quality was excellent, everyone I asked told me THEY could hear me excellent, problem was, I could barely hear them! As I work in a noisy environment, I needed the headset to provide me with isolation from my environment. Also, an expensive adapter is required! I use a cell phone a primary phone (Samsung Android) and this headset did not provide me with the solution I was looking for. Pro- Outgoing voice quality was excellent to the person on the other end. Con- low call volume at headset on ear headphone style doesn't damp environment noise headphone distorts at moderate volume from PC connection. absurd cost for required adapter for cellphone/pc
