Reach for Cahrartt's quick duck wood ward traditional jacket when you need to move with ease, and without fatigue. It’s constructed of Carhartt quick duck fabric. Made of 8.5-ounce, 60 percentage cotton or 40 percentage polyester canvases with a durable water-repellent finish, its 30 percentage lighter and ounce-for-ounce as durable as Carhartt sandstone duck. The jacket also features nylon lining quilted to midweight polyester insulation. Stow your items is six pockets, two inside pockets, two chest pockets with flaps and snap closures, and two lower-front pockets. The left-chest pocket features a media port that lets you string a headphone wire to a cell phone or media player. For ease of movement, there are ergonomically designed angled cuffs, a pleated bi-swing back, and pleated elbows. The mock neck collar zips up to keep out the cold, a drop tail adds protection, and inner-sleeve rib knit storm cuffs seal in the warmth. Built Carhartt strong, the jacket’s main seams are triple stitched.

Great lightweight Carhartt with really nice warmth.
I had originally received the J140 (the standard) active duck coat in XL. As a 6'1", 240 lbs (I carry it well) gentleman, I thought the XL size would be a no-brainer. You could have another human inside that coat. I thought I would tough it out, but I found myself not wearing the coat because I looked like a brown version of the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka. A brownberry? How unpleasant. So I traded that back (the return policy for these things is fantastic, especially with the unexpected sizes), and swapped it out for this. I went to an actual store to get a sense for how these things actually fit. I went from an XL to a L, and I still have lots of room for layering and plenty enough flexibility, even at my size. It's also light - MUCH less bulky than the J140. I wore the J140 this past winter up in Michigan - holler to hand land! - and I had no issues with a lack of warmth. Even in the cold cold days in late December my torso was still pretty toasty. I would rate this jacket to be slightly less warm, but, given the increase in mobility, it's comfortable, and the tradeoff isn't that severe. Couple this jacket with a vest or hooded sweatshirt (I wish the mock collar were some sort of streamlined hood) and you really can't go wrong. Looks sleek, looks sexy, received complements the first day I threw it on. People will notice, especially people that know Carhartt products. The sleeves are also pretty awesome. The elastic cuff is underneath the coat sleeve itself which overhangs for a cool aesthetic. It creates a kind of channel lock with the cuff of your glove and the coat. Snazzy! Pockets are nice, two hand pockets that zip up the side, and the wide Mao-jacket chest pockets with dual snaps. Pretty roomy, plenty of space for pens, pencils, wallets, phones, etc etc. Interior media pocket is diagonal access and spacious. It sits on the left side and has a headphone port that goes up through the left chest pocket. Swanky.GRIPES - sleeve size. I don't know what it is. I don't have super long arms, but I experience "sleeve creep", which is annoying, especially with these elastic cuff sleeves. If you hate the feeling of sleeves riding up your arms even a little bit, consider ordering a "tall" size.Which brings me to this point; if you have any doubts, go to a TSC, Red Wing shoe store, or whatever construction/safety store you have in the area and try them on before you buy. This coat is heavy duty. I mean, seriously well built. It'll last a long time, and if you're into the BIFL movement, you'll want to make sure it fits and fits well. I'm happy with my coat, sleeve creep and all.TL;DR - good coat, not QUITE as warm as the standard J140, but much more flexible, much lighter, less bulky, check sizes in person at a B&M store. Would recommend, great buy, look rugged but sophisticated you handsome devil.

A very sharp looking jacket in a perfect weight for me.
I'm really thrilled with this jacket -- it's well made, the perfect weight, and nicely appointed. Not too hot, it keeps me warm on average Louisville winter days between 30 and 50 F. One pocket with velcro closure on the inside right; one pocket on the inside left with zipper and feed-through opening for head phones. I like the gathered cuffs with the sleeve extending over them -- gloves fit nicely up inside the sleeve with no drafts. As far as sizing goes, just to help out those who wonder what size to get: I am 5'10" and approx 200lbs, with a (on a good day) 36" waist -- pretty average in build. I tried the Large on at a store -- the length was good, but when I zipped up, there was a lot of extra space in the trunk (around the waist). I opted for a Medium. I will be able to wear a regular sweater underneath, but if I had on an undershirt, collared shirt, and heavy/bulky sweater, it would probably be too tight in the shoulders. The Medium is a better cut for me -- I don't look like I'm wearing my big brother's jacket.

great new jacket for work
This is not quite as light as I would have guessed from the marketing materials. But it is a great jacket. Its durable and is a good early morning fall/all day winter jacket. It gets a little warm if youre working in the mid afternoon depending on climate, which for me had been mid 50's.Like most of their work wear it runs a little on the bigger/baggier side. I'm 6' 165 and its a little looser than id like in Medium but it doesnt inhibit any sort of field work.It doesnt breathe great so this is not a sport jacket. (I realize most people who are familiar with Carhartt will know that, but since theyve started marketing this jacket hard i just thought id be extra clear.) This is cold weather work wear. It makes a pretty good barn jacket too imo, though i miss the big snap pockets. It also includes a convenient iPod/electronics pocket with cord pass through. I dont really listen to music while outside, but if thats your thing, its a neat feature.

Excellent Jacket!
This jacket fits perfect! I am 6'2" and am approximately 190 lbs. The stitching is superb, and appears to be designed to last for years. I love the military drab look and only wish that the jacket had zippers on the sides for easier access for CCW. Over all, I give this jacket 5 stars for style, comfort, quality and price!

Adapté a une morphologie de bucheron adepte de la bière
Dommage j'aimais assez le style mais la coupe est vraiment très très ample. Ce n'est pas un problème de taille mais plus adapté à une morphologie particulière.

Herrvorragend
Wirklich hervorragende Qualität. Passt sehr gut. Allerdings eine Nummer kleiner bestellen. Carhartt Produkte fallen meistens sehr groß aus. Absolut überzeugend.
