The light in my home is not very good and it wasn't until 1st day back to school, on the school run, that the colour became very obvious. Waiting to get a naughty note from school as these are not Navy more like Royal blue. BUT. . .lovely feel, fit and quality so will keep them for our of school.

I must say these socks feet nicely , and they are of good quality.

I took a chance on these because its hard to find solid navy socks in a "crew" length that are not the too-thin "dress socks" or the too-thick "hiking socks". I am delighted with these 'just right' socks. And after many washings and wearings I continue to be happy with the quality. First, though, do be aware of the sizing. I wear a women's 8.5 (US) or 39 (European) shoe, and I have slightly wide toes. I definitely needed the "large" in this sock - Based on my experience, I would recommend the large if you are a size 8 or higher (women's size) shoe, or even if you are a 7.5 but have very wide feet. The sizing is important because these socks fit like the proverbial glove, but a very soft glove, not just in the foot, but throughout the sock. There is a small band at the top, but that doesn't really hold these up and is not particularly constricting. Instead, the socks stay up with no issues because the entire sock fits a lot like a soft opaque tight where the whole thing is stretchy and form-fitting. It's not so tight it leaves marks or feels bad - quite the contrary - it feels like a foot massage! (Just for reference, the widest part of my ankle area - near the top of the sock - is about 9.5 inches.) I have found these machine wash and dry beautifully in cold water and low heat drier, with no shrinkage, and no fading. In fact, I can't tell the new ones from pairs that have been washed and worn dozens of times. And they dry quickly - an unexpected plus. Overall, for year round, day in and day out use, these have become my favorite socks!

I love these sock because of their perfect weight for general wear-not to thick and not too thin. They are the perfect length and cannot be felt on your leg so no constriction at all. Nor do they roll down to your heel or come off with a boot. They are very comfortable and soft. I am a sock snob and so dont usually find a great pair worthy of writing about. These however deserve full marks. I will order another batch.
