A Useful Tool For Kayakers
As a kayaker, I often deal with water dripping off of my paddle into my sit-on kayak. It’s not the end of the world but it’s nice to keep a sponge onboard so that you can soak it up and not sit in water while paddling. It works almost too well. The water just disappears and it’s all contained in this absorbent water pillow. The thing I use it for that most people often wouldn’t think of, is to soak up some lake water and wipe down my kayak before I load it onto the car. The sponge itself holds so much water, it’s crazy how easy it is to rinse it off. Also, I use it to run some water on my feet before slipping on my shoes. Makes a big difference, this thing. I wish it weren’t so pricey but it was worth the buy. I would most definitely recommend this product to any boating enthusiast, even larger boats. Keep a couple on board for rinsing on the water. A handy tool.

Best kayak sponge
This sponge works so much better than a regular car wash sponge. The outer layer is like a microfiber towel, so it gets your cockpit dry to the touch

Great kayak sponge but...
This is my second one in three years. So the good is when you enter your kayak from the water and you're just dribbling some down in the cockpit of the sit inside, this works great at collecting that water. That's my primary purpose for it and for that it does great. Nice loop for it and it's not just a sponge kind of thing. The covering however will come apart rather quickly in my view over time. The cover is what sells this for me so I'm hoping it doesn't happen a second time. Frankly for cheap I can get a sponge and pop a zip tie loop through the middle of it very cheaply. So for me to buy this I need some value add. The cover of it is the value add. Other than that I suppose it could make a good pee sponge. I've read about folks doing it, haven't tried it, but yeah that could be an option I suppose. So there you have it. Make your own, buy this one and hope the cover doesn't come off. Kinda a 50/50 decision there but I've been happy-ish with mine.

Must have for Kayaking.
Very pleased with this product. I use it often. It is very absorbent and soaks up water quickly. It wrings out easily. Cleans up easily. With the effective cover material, the sponge has not started to degrade at all. Great for getting that last bit of water out of whatever space you need dry. For me, it is my go-to kayak sponge.

Surprisingly handy to have on board.
This little sponge was just a little side thought because I didn’t want a long plastic pump in my kayak. I have a 10ft pelican sit-inside with not much room. That being said and the picture is just for bragging purposes only lol. Had an amazing solo trip down from Hoover dam. I’ve never needed a bilge pump but I wanted something more than a cup or hand for water removal. I kept it at the base of my seat and it worked without batteries sucking up water. Never needed charging too. Great side effect of keeping the inside of my kayak clean. I’d buy it again

Better bilge sponge at a lower price.
Previously I used the Skwoosh bilge sponge and have purchased several over the years as I have two sea kayaks.. Typically each sponge lasts about a season before the outer material and sponge starts to fall apart. When I saw the Skwoosh price was increased to $17, I bailed on that product and gave the Harmony a try. It's the same length as the Skwoosh, but wider and has a more durable strap for hanging it to dry. The Harmony soaks up lots of water quite water nicely and the outer material appears to be more durable than it's competitor. Hoping it actually is.

Well made
Works well, easy to carry and travel with. Doesn't absorb much in the kayak though. I'd want it twice the size. But better than dumping the kayak to get water out.

Buy this now
I highly recommend this if you own a kayak or other watercraft. I went for 2 years without one and I am kicking myself for this. First, this thing soaks up the water like it is nobody's business. On a recent kayaking trip, a member of our group tipped and took on a little water. Between 3 of us with this sponge, we were able to clear the water from her kayak within minutes. No having to tip it up and pull the drain plug at all! Second, it rinses easily with water. I was washing out my kayak after a trip and soaked up the excess water inside with it. Along with the water was some sand and dirt. A quick rinse and the fabric was no longer dirty. Lastly, squeeze don't twist!

I have been looking for a giant cellulose sponge (4" x 4" x 8") to bail out my bilges for YEARS but for some reason it just isn't possible to buy a gargantuan sponge. So I settled for this hellaciously expensive "kayak" sponge, and it turned out to be a wonderful purchase. Not only does it bail out the bilges, it does a slick job of picking up the doghair/dirt film on the floor of the cabin, and it doesn't rip in half like the cellulose sponges do. Highly recommended.

I removed a star because I think the price is a bit high but.... It works, soaks up a LOT of water so it clears out those kayak puddles fast. The casing is like a SHAMWOW material so I guess that helps but yeah, it's a good product just a bit pricey.

Product was what I expected a wrapped sponge that I use to extract water from inside my kayak.

The sponge is great, but wish it were larger. After one uses it a few time, the spronge stays more compressed and absorbs less water. Would have preferred a larger sponge with more capacity. A dry sponge practically doesn't weigh anything so more is better in this case.
