Upgrade a 6-bay case and 6-port motherboard to support 10 drives with this and a 4-in-3 cage
Working well in a FreeNAS disk-server box I built. This gives me 4 extra ports, in addition to what's on the motherboard (6 in an awful lot of cases, though some expensive modern ones have more). Many cases have 6 internal bays for 3.5" drives plus 3 exposed bays for 5.25" drives, so by adding a "4-in-3" drive cage and this card, you can build a 10-drive storage server out of spare motherboards and a spare case. That can be a very useful backup server still. (Building and managing your own storage or backup servers is taking on a big responsibility of course, if your data is of any value even to you personally. I *very* strongly recommend the ZFS filesystem for this sort of thing, available in FreeBSD as well as Solaris, and I often use the FreeNAS storage appliance distribution which is based on FreeBSD with a pretty good GUI to manage the storage. In addition to redundant disk arrays, you need actually monitor them so you know when something broke so you can replace it before something *else* breaks, and you should have a good backup scheme. Which is why secondary servers can be so important.)

Works as expected, no issues.
No problems at all after a few months of use. Speeds are as expected and it was as simple as plug & play. Very pleased with this 4 port SATA III card. Now I can add even more drives to my CM Storm Trooper. I'm glad I got the model in which all SATA ports are facing the rear, it made installation look nicer and was easier to do. I did notice it has to initialize at boot time, when I'm watching my screen boot into Win8, a screen pops up before windows starts that has the Sata drives I have connected. It disappears in a few seconds, I haven't noticed any performance issues as of yet.

Three Stars
Works good with Windows 2012r2 with powersaving and smart status. As fast as onboard.

Was plug and play for my Win7 64 bit.
Allowed my old PC with a legacy bios (not UEFI) to see the full capacity of a 4TB hard drive, instead of just the 2TB limit imposed by the bios and motherboard. Win 7 already had the needed drivers.

It just works.
It just works. Good speed and has been reliable so far. Was recognized and configured by BIOS and Windows 10 automatically - truly plug and play.

Works perfectly in my Win 7 media server. Not ...

Kaufempfehlung. Sie Tut was sie soll

CONSIGLIATO!!

Needed a few more SATA 3 ports for a 2nd RAID in a 5 year old PC. Works perfectly, no setup or driver issues using Linux (OpenSUSE 42.2).
