Best heating pad ever!! Got this in 2020 and it still holds up since the first day I bought it. It holds heat well and provides instant pain relief. I've tried other ones and this is still my favorite.

Works perfectly. Heated according to the instructions on the package and it held a good amount of heat for 20+ minutes. Have not used it for cold yet. I’ll update the recommendation if it doesn’t stay chilled just as well. Love the flexibility and size. Great value.

I bought this to initially ice my left shoulder which I traumatized using my computer (don't ask), so, for the past week, this has been living in my freezer (as Nature Creation recommends) so it was always cold and ready for me. It arrives at room temp, so you need to chill it for at least 2 hours before using for the first time. It's been good as an ice pack. I use it mostly sitting up draped over my shoulder. It worked equally well when I was laying on my right side and draping it over the left shoulder. It is heavy enough to stay in place yet easily moved. Today I heated it up in my microwave as I can start alternating heat and cold. Anyone who uses a microwave for cooking knows that recommended times in recipes may not be the amount of time it takes in your own microwave. Nature Creation's recommended heating time for this rice pack is 2 minutes; not surprisingly, my old 600 W microwave took more time. I took the pack out of the freezer, then out of the ziplock plastic food storage bag I keep it in in the freezer, fitted it onto a microwave-safe dinner plate and microwaved it on Hi for 2 min. It was still partially cold, so I turned it over and zapped it some more until it was comfortably hot (for me - again, YMMV re heat tolerance and microwave). It has been on my shoulder now for just over 15 min and is still warm to the touch but now cooling in the thinnest part (where it is draped over my shoulder). I am chemically sensitive. Unlike a few have reported, I did not detect any odor from the two fabrics used (I bought the blue one) nor from the rice, not when it first arrive and I unpacked it, nor when it was taken out of the freezer and removed from the ziplock bag I keep it in, nor when heated in the microwave. Looking forward to many years of service (though I hope I don't need to use it all the time!)

I have had this thing for 8 years and am still using it. It melts away muscle pain; I use it for everything from menstrual cramps to back pain to massaging a charley horse, and it works like a charm every time. Unlike other products on the market, it's heavy and very full of whatever is in it, which makes for superior heat retention. 2 min 15 seconds in the microwave and this thing gets nice and HOT! I appreciate the no-frills design - I don't need a fleece cover or other gimmicks that get between me and my pain relief - and I like that there's an unscented option as I am prone to migraines.

Got this for medical reasons & to provide comfort, has been great. Soft, sturdy materials make reusing it easy, and feels fine even against the face Retains heat well, I can still find hot spots after using it 15 minutes at a time It's mostly used on two areas, stomache, and eyes For the stomache its perfect, covers a good area, not too heavy, and helps to radiate heat where you need it On the eyes it's a little more tricky, I often have to use at least one if not two hands to hold it in place and make sure I am keeping the warm materials where they need to be, which can be tiring over time. This is not the fault of the product though, just something to consider Overall happy with this purchase, the speed in which I received it, and its ability to hold and distribute heat

I guess this is what I bought, so I’m not sure how to rate it. It’s a soft cloth pouch filled with rice and flax seed. It’s got a bit of an off odor when you heat it, but otherwise it does what it’s supposed to. It’ll stay warm for a decent amount of time (20-30 minutes) and it’s comfortable. I didn’t realize it was rice-filled or I wouldn’t have purchased. If you read the entire description, the contents are listed at the bottom, so it was my mistake - I didn’t read far enough down. I use it in the home office and my wife commented that she thinks “it smells like one of the dogs peed in the office.” Not sure it quite smells that bad, but there’s a distinctive odor and it lingers in the office after I’m done with this. I’ll just stick to the plug-in pad and this one gets thrown into deep storage...

This arrived so quickly!! I am impressed with the shortness of time it took to be delivered to me. I am also very impressed with the consumer info included with my pad. It is well done on quality paper cards with grammatically perfect instructions. I immediately put it in the microwave to warm it up and use it on my upper arm and shoulder area. It is so wonderful. I like the way I can "arrange" it to sit upon my shoulder while I am sitting here at my computer or watching TV. The soothing warmth is so comforting to me and exactly what I need. I especially like the freedom of being able to carry it wherever I go around the house. I have to admit that I am not crazy about the scent of heated rice when I use it, but I certainly won't take off a star because of that. I wish I would have ordered a scented one, but the scent of rice is barely noticeable anyway!!! Without the rice, the pad wouldn't be so easy to situate wherever I need it and stay put while it provides heat to my aching joints. This is a well made pad from right here in the USA by a dedicated manufacturer named Jane Roberts. It doesn't get better than that, in my opinion. I'm happy with my purchase because Nature Creation has a great product.

Heating this pad in the microwave gives the perfect amount of moist heat to help relieve knee, neck, back, arm or leg pain. It's soft against the skin and holds heat for a good amount of time. It helps much more than the old traditional plug in ones. It's a good value and quality - Highly recommended

Product is filled with natural materials which heat up well in microwave. It helped my mother with a strained shoulder and held heat for a good amount of time. Simple product which is effective and easy to use.
