Gear Wrench has good tools for the price that doesnt drain your wallet.
Ive been using Gear Wrench tools for quite some time now. For the price of their sockets and ratchets plus wrenches. You cant go wrong. I literally have almost every ratchet, socket, and wrench plus ratchet wrenchs that gear wrench sells. I use their tools everyday being a full time mechanic. I work on anything from semi trucks to small tractors. If your gonna do something stupid like putting a 3 foot cheater pipe on it, Then yea your prob gonna break it. DUH. I can break snap ons half inch 24 inch all day long doing that. Take care of them and they last a long time. 120xps are great for motor and transmission work. They do start to lose their fineness after some hard use. 84 tooth are really strong and still fairly fine. I bought my first 120xp set three years ago and I'm still using them at the shop everyday.

Works Perfect and Meets all Expectations (Long Handle 81264 3/8 Ratchet)
Was considering purchasing the snap on FL80, which was much more expensive and chose to go with the GearWrench Long Handle 81264 (3/8 Ratchet). While there is no comparison to the Snap-On products, I am so glad I purchased the GearWrench. It has held up well to consistent use in the last two months. It's the first ratchet I reached for when I serviced my AC system, fuel lines, and recently the clutch hydraulics on my car. The tool is a good length, the tooth count just right and the narrow profile has been a life saver when working in tight spaces. Overall the tool has worked perfectly and have had zero issues. Highly recommend!

Almost perfect!
DAMN! I’ve had this for about 4 years now! I use it everyday and it still works great! It’s very strong. I work on diesels and it fits almost anywhere I need but I could see it being a little big for anyone who works on cars. Two minor bad things I can say is the rubber bumpers on both sides fell off awhile ago (pictured) and the ring on the chuck that holds the sockets on has worn out a bit and sockets do fall off sometimes but it still works. Will definitely buy another one when this one takes a poop!

Another great product from gearwrench!
This ratchet has a nice small click for when you're in a tight spot. This is handy considering the handle length. Very robust, without being overly heavy. After about 6 weeks of daily use on industrial machinery, I can say I like having it in my kit. Full polish makes cleaning it a breeze. But mostly I like the design of the gear pawl. It grabs many teeth making for a strong bite. Great for lug nuts too. A short extension to get you away from the tire and you have significantly more leverage than the shorter and less awesome "craft man" model. Overall my only worry is that one day someone may decide that they need it more than I do. When that day comes, I'll be ordering another one for sure. Great tool!

Better than truck tools, half the price.
I've used almost every brand ratchet on the market, and even with a drawer full of top name tools, this is the one I reach for. I've even used this poor ratchet with a 3' torque improvement device (pipe) and my body weight to break a bolt. Still smooth as butter just like the day I bought it. The back drag is almost negligible, the tooth engagement is smooth and crisp, etc. This ratchet gives me that warm fuzzy feeling even the top tools from the tool trucks don't.

Worked great until the adjuster lever broke
It worked fine for a few months, then the adjuster lever started to back out. The mfg is sending a replacement, so that is good. When I took it apart, the adjuster lever was broken in two pieces and that is why it was backing out. I hope this was a mfg defect and not something that is a weakness in the tool. Otherwise, it is very handy with the 4 degree movement. That really helps in tight engine compartments.

Great ratchets for the price
Bought this 84 tooth and the flex head 120 tooth ratchets with the long handle. I've been wrenching for 40+ years and always purchased higher end tools which last longer then the average retail store tools and designed for a better fit in specific locations. Both of these ratchets exceeded the quality I assumed for the low price I paid. Pay attention to today's tools. Many are quite acceptable and meet but not exceed Mac, Snap-On, Proto tools for the average and above mechanic. True, they are not the top, but you will be surprised at just how good the Goodwrench ratchets are. I can't speak for the open end, combination wrenches or the sockets but you certainly will well adding both of these ratchets to your tool cabinet.

My New Breaker Bar!
It’s a damn good ratchet. Not American-made, but it’s a damn good ratchet regardless. My breaker bar gave out on me mid-tire change, and since this ratchet was only about half an inch smaller than my breaker bar, I decided to throw the 19mm socket on this bad boy, throw it on the lug nut, kicked it once and the lug nut came loose. I repeated this 19 more times until I was done. I paid $22 for this 3/8” ratchet and I couldn’t be happier with it.
