Anyone who says this works immediately for sleep is probably experiencing a placebo effect, or doesn’t likely need it in the first place. Studies of ashwagandha and sleep are conducted over the course of 10 weeks or more to assure the chance of detecting a real effect. One shouldn’t expect an immediate benefit. In my case, I was suffering from a cortisol imbalance partially caused by a prescription medication I had been taking. I had no difficulty falling asleep but could not stay asleep for more than a few hours and my resting heart rate had become significantly elevated. Discontinuing the prescription med didn’t completely solve the problem so I started taking this supplement, one capsule before bedtime. After a month or so, I didn’t see much improvement. I almost gave up on this but decided to try something different. I now take two capsules a day, one with breakfast and the other with my evening meal. That seems to have done the trick. I am now gradually sleeping longer and my heart rate has slowly lowered, all well documented by data collected by my fitness tracker. I still have ups and downs where my resting heart rate goes up a bit for a day or so and I sleep less well. But the overall trend is toward improvement. If you have a real anxiety problem with cortisol balance issues, I recommend you give this supplement some time and not expect a result overnight. Yoga, meditation, deep breathing, and other relaxation strategies should also be part of your daily routine. Drink a lot of water, improve your gut microbiome by upping your fiber intake, and use a yoga nidra guided meditation to help you get back to sleep if you find yourself wide awake after only a couple hours of sleep. Improving your overall physical and mental health should be the goal, not a quick fix by popping a pill. That said, I highly recommend this supplement.

Relaxing yet stimulating. KSM-66 was my go to nighttime and wanted something stronger. This feels like it gets me high for an hour and then I'm back to baseline. Maybe I'll have better luck with sensoril for sleep.

I know I can't state any personal stuff, but yet I'm going through some stuff. I have been mentally and physically struggling lately and remembered about a supplement that did wonders for me in a time I wasn't feeling quite not like myself. I took another brand of Ashwagandha at that point in my life. It did open up doors and open me up to a whole different side of me. I did do some research into the Shoden and this particular brand and figured that I would give it go. I'm glad that I did! I purchased the smaller quantity first just to see if I can notice anything different and to try it out. I noticed a great deal of improvements within the first week. I had an improved everything. My improved mood was the greatest benefit. But there's quite a few improvements like; Stamina, Libido, memory, cognitive function, sleep, anxiety. So, I was sold, and went ahead in purchasing the larger quantity. If I feel this good in a week, I have to find out how good I'll be in 2 months time!

I got this product in hopes that it would help me with sleep at night. My problem is waking up to what I call “hyper brain”, where my brain just hops from topic to topic to topic. I can seem to do anything to calm it. I had read that ashwaganda was good for this issue and saw that this one was formulated with that purpose in mind. It works!! It has helped me to get back to sleep fairly quickly due to “calmer” brain. I am very happy with this particular formula and will be purchasing it again.

I had the exact same reaction as another reviewer. I've only taken these on two separate occasions. The first time I took 4 capsules before going to bed. Around 3 am I woke up violently ill with the worst diarrhea and vomiting I've ever experienced. I've never had food poisoning, so I assumed it was somthing I ate. As a precaution, I waited a week before taking it again. Same thing, but worst. The diarrhea lasted all night and most of the following day. I've taken ashwagandha many times, but never have I experienced anything like this with any other product. Maybe this batch was contaminated with something. I've also never heard of the brand, and was a little taken aback by the cheap and tacky packaging. The label is badly printed and written, with tiny fonts to probably save money on packaging. This is not a quality product. Keep away from it.
