Is this suitable to fit in Kitchen in a new house and no need to install a kitchen extractor?

Wouldn’t recommend that. Extractor will pick up any moisture directly from cooking and clear it instantly, this fan would take a while and you’d need to have it running well after you had finished.

i have placed an order for this fan and cannot see where to choose the colour. Please advise

Mine has stopped working and wondering if I have to replace or how to identify what might have gone wrong ?

I would say check the obvious like is there power getting to the unit? Is it going through a fused unit and the fuse has blown? If the power is good to the unit then maybe turn the power off and take the unit apart. Maybe it is just clogged up with dirty... Failing that it might be a new unit. Good luck
