They seem to be what I'm looking for. I have not installed them yet. I was waiting for my husband to be back from the hospital. Now he's finally home and I will install soon. By the looks of it I think they're going to be just fine.

PRODUCT IS FINE. PRICED COMPETITIVE. INSTALLATION IS EASY. THE ANCHORS ARE QUESTIONABLE BECAUSE THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR DRY WALL MOUNTING AND NO HARDWARE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO LOCATE A WALL STUD. ANY EXTRA DOWNWARD PRESSURE SUCH AS A HEAVY PERSON, HAS A POTENTIOAL OF PULLING THE ANCHORS THROUGH THE DRYWALL

My mother loves this fold down support bar. It works perfectly and easily supports her weight. So glad I ordered it. I had my handyman install it.

This basic design is great. The bar lifts up out of the way when not in use, is well made and feels very secure. The rubber coated metal grab bar offers a firm non-slip surface to promote safety. The only reason it didn't rate 5 stars is because the screw fasteners supplied are completely useless. My son made a quick trip to the local hardware store and got what was needed to fasten it to studs in the wall which fortunately were located in just the right spot.

Excellent grab bars for toilet. Have bought 2 pairs for my mom’s bathroom.

The folding bar itself seems to be of good manufacture, Due to the extended length, and multiplied force, the mounting hardware is not sufficient for support. The four bolts to mount this into the wall are designed to be placed into concrete or brick. They each consist of a screw, sleeve and expander bit that is pulled up the sleeve to wedge between the sleeve and the wall. This cannot be trusted for mounting into wood or plaster/wood. The top mounting holes are very short on the wall-plate, like a crowbar or hammer causes extreme force on the retaining bolts. If an adult using this as a 'Safety Bar' to catch themselves and applies body full weight, I believe this would rip out from the wall. This is likely true with any ONE SIDED ONLY support bar. If you purchase this and do not have STRONG ANCHORS to attach it, be warned! I will be keeping this as I have managed a solution. I used a 1/4 threaded rod and went all the way thorough the 6 inch wall, placing nuts and heavy washers on each side. I then capped the ends with cover nuts with rounded shields.

My father has Alzheimer’s. These bars saved mine and my mom so much difficulty as he was more and more unable to stand. If you have anyone with a handicap, I highly recommend these.
