KitchenAid Euro Stainless Steel Potato/Root Vegetable Masher, Empire Red

I wasn't sure this potato masher would do the job because it looked like there was too much space between the curves on the business end.I've had a couple of other varieties of mashers. They looked sturdier and did get the job done, but it took forever.It turned out that this masher felt nice and heavy in my hand, and got the job done in record time. Somehow the wider spaces just work the potatoes better and faster. It also helps that this utensil has more of an industrial strength heft to it.This is a nice looking yet heavy duty masher. It holds up with use, and may be the last masher you will ever need.

The main advantage of this Potato masher over others I have used is that it has a larger mashing area. It is quite sturdy and has a nice handle. I like the classic red color - I believe there is a whole line of matching products available.
