Absolutely fantastic product, works great when my stereo is on. The twinkly lights dance to the music.

Very easy to setup, even though the instructions don’t come in the box and the QR code link was to a non existent server. Plug it into any USB power supply. Press and hold the button on the device When it starts flashing open the twinkle app and add a new device. Simply follow instructions in the app, easy! It responds instantly to sounds and if the volume gets too low or high it auto adjusts the sensitivity to ensure the light show continues. Basically it’s a microphone linked by WiFi to your phone app and the fairy lights. Video shows display type set on “Vu meter” to demonstrate accuracy/sensitivity. There are dozens of optional display types to choose from and it does differentiate frequencies and volumes but frequency separation is very subtle as far as I can see.

This device worked great with our twinkly lights, as soon as I connected it through the app it was picking up the music and flashing the lights along with it. Super cool and will be fun to use with christmas music to make it even more magical. High quality and great price, highly recommend.

Great product, excellent value for money. Plug into any USB A power socket, register in the twinkly app and use! Once added it creates a group which you can add your lighting products too, any in that group will sync to music being played in the vicinity of the USB. The sync does replace any individual effects applied to the lights before hand, but once the dongle is disconnected from power, the lights associated revert back to original behaviours. You can apply some specific music effects to the lights group, but there are limited options compared to usual light controller app. Great value for money, a quality solution that enhances the lights you already own. Great for parties and straight forward to setup based on Bluetooth connectivity.

App found the adpater ok, however i was dissapointed with the light changes according to the beat of the music. Pretty average, and expensive for what it is.

Have tried all functions with poor results. I expected more and have consigned this product to the back of the drawer, never to be used again. Will look for alternatives as my home is full of smart products that work well, but this accessory isn’t quite clever enough!
