It was our turn to make the King Cake for our family celebration of Epiphany. I have made the traditional King Cake, but I wanted to do something different this year. I made a bunt cake and drizzled a white chocolate pour frosting on top. Then, I added the three colors of gold, green, and purple in sections on top with sparkling sugar in between each section. I topped it off with three small crowns. The three colors were the edible glitter. It was better than just glitter. The colors had a beautiful sheen to them. This glitter is very powdery. I do so wish I had thought to take a photo of the cake so everyone could see how fancy this looked. The whole family thought the cake was beautiful. My next colors will be in the reds. Just think how pretty on sugar cookies! I highly recommend.

Pro: Doesn’t really have a taste of its own. Not that could be distinguished from the cake, anyway. Very beautiful bright gold flakes! They like to stick to fingers so wear powdered gloves or use, brushes maybe? Con: Not as much in jar as expected, given size of jar. Reasonable amount though. But you might want to consider ordering 2 if you think you only need one. Unless you REALLY know what you’re doing (novice here) you’ll run out fast, Still overall very pleased with these flakes. Got a lot of compliments on the cake. Birthday boy was pleased too! Will buy again.

This is a pretty product which we used sparingly. It is tasteless so it can be applied to anything. You may find a little glitter stuck to fingers and lips and will need to rinse.
