Firm, comfortable and confident
Purchased these as a replacement to my really old and beaten up original stock grips on my Specialized S-Works mountain bike from the 90s and boy I couldn't be happier - so long overdue. I really love how simple and comfortable these grips are. They are really unassuming, but pack a lot of grip and gave me even a little more confidence in my controlling of the bike. There are a ton of little details that make the difference. They are not bulky and knobby, but do have a very very subtle taper to the rubber that fits your hand perfectly. The spacing of the actual gripping materials themselves also changes slightly from your thumb to outer palm to provide maximum hold and comfort. The rotational reference on the exterior of the grip is also really helpful and intuitive to align the grips on initial set-up. They have nailed all of the devilish details in this great mountain bike grip. If that wasn't enough, installation is really easy and was completed in about 15 minutes start to finish. Remove your existing grips (not always a piece of cake), loosen the brakes and shifters a little, clean the bar ends with rubbing alcohol to get the grime off, slide the grip on, rotate to desired position, tighten the allen bolt (3mm I think), slide your shifters and brakes back, tighten and push in the end cap - that's it. I wish that I had replaced my originals sooner with these and would recommend that you do so for your bike as soon as possible to enjoy your ride even more.

Unique Grips
I switched from Specialized SIP grips to these. I really like the thinness of the SIPs but they can be harsh on bumpy downhill runs. The GA2s have more shock absorption and are thicker overall, but not too thick. I’ve been wearing gloves with padded palms, however, and the GA2s feel too thick for my taste when using these gloves. Bare hand grip and comfort is very good and think I’ll really like the GAs with a non padded glove. The ergonomic shape is comfortable and surprisingly also has an aggressive, locked-in feel. Riding with my hands out at the end of the bars doesn’t put uncomfortable pressure on the outside edge of my palms as it does at times with the SIPs. I think the GA2s look great as well.

Awesomeness
Excellent grips for my mountain bike. Unfortunately, they no longer make purple, so I bought these in hopes of swapping out the silicone with a purple pair I already own. The silicone is molded to the plastic beneath, great for gription, not great for swapping with a busted pair. (FYI my previous pair busted from my idiocy, not from normal use) SO, I decided against installing them on my bike and I gave these to my boyfriend. He doesn’t like anything new but he likes these grips. So definitely a win and I will ride jealously with uncomfortable pretty purple grips of another brand while my boyfriend uses these awesome ones. Ergon - Bring Back Purple! 5 stars from each of us.

Great overall sturdy lock on grips
Great grips for flat or riser style bar very comfortable I was eaves able to ride all day with out the need for gloves(which I typically always need) only taking away one star because of durability for rougher use. I'll just list pros and cons. Pros Lock on keeps them in place (even with one clamp they never move, previously my grips would always slide) Super easy to install Lightweight Ergo grip for all day comfort Feels secure when mounted Cons The black rubber particles come off on hand or glove after prolonged contact Durability from simple falls

Great grips, quality product.
Great grip replacement from my stock specialized grips. Haven’t slipped yet and definitely more comfortable. The end caps fit snug yet pull off without too much force when removing the grips. I see they make a thicker version that I may have to check out next time.

Good grips for MTB'ing
Good circumference, good quality material. End caps are slightly sensitive if you slide onto your bars too quickly. Padding is not the thickest, which is what I preferred. If your trails rocky and you typically experience hand pump, may want to wear gloves.

Slippery
Ergon makes great grips. These are well made with quality materials, but I would go with GE1 or GDH grips though. These are rubber padded but slippery and hard to tell where your hands are on the grips. They are good for leisure cruiser biking but a poor fit for gravel or mountain biking.
