Fun and Effective
I bought this a few months ago, and I am very pleased with the program overall.I agree with other reviews, that the one guy (he does the Latin Burst video) comes across kind of annoying at first, and some of the routines seem a little spastic when you first watch them. But after doing them, I have found them to be challenging, fun, and effective.My favorites in the group are the 20 min. express (I really like that instructor's style - I think his name is Nick), and the Zumba Max (60 min.), which Beto (the founder) instructs. The tutorial was excellent to do with my two girls (age 8 & 10) to get them to perfect some of the moves. Not all of the moves are in the tutorial, but the most frequently used ones are. Personally, I enjoyed the challenge of some of the other moves introduced, and most were just variations on the ones already learned if you looked closely. The Latin Burst is awesome if you don't have a lot of time, but still want a challenging workout.The other two routines (Global Burst and Super Cardio) I have watched but haven't tried yet. They are instructed by the same guy as the Latin Burst, and I have found him to be an aquired taste.A bit about me - I am 45, and these routines were nice to help me ease back into exercise after not doing so regularly for about 6 months or so. I would not consider myself in good shape, and I have quite a bit of weight to lose. Improvements I noticed were an increase in my energy and stamina after using this about 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks. After this point, I was able to add some strength training videos to my routine without killing myself so much that I would be worthless the rest of the day. I do have a dance background, and I had previously purchased the zumba total body transformation in the past. These routines were all different from the total body ones. I have done very little to change my diet, but found myself losing weight and inches anyway. (due to the changes that come at this time of life, weight loss has been very slow.)I also use these as gym class for my girls, who are homeschooled and also in ballet. One of my daughters has coordination issues, and it has really helped her with improving her balance as well as gross motor skills. It has really helped both of them with increasing their ability to imitate a movement they see, and increased their overall fitness and coordination.I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys dance, and any fitness level. Stick with it!! Challenging workouts with enough substance to last for years
I have read some reviews where the reviewers thought these workouts were too advanced, too hard to follow, much faster than expected. And I do think that some of the routines are difficult when you are first learning them, but they are supposed to be challenging!! This is true especially for the Zumba Max and Super Cardio Dance Party discs. I taught aerobics classes back in my 30s (I am now in my 50s), and I definitely am not as agile and quick as I once was, so some of the moves in these routines are difficult. But I would much rather have that, having to take some time learning a routine, so that I am not bored of them too quickly and can do them repeatedly for a long time. This was the second set of discs I purchased after doing the intro disc for several months. It took me a couple of months with these, doing the workouts a few times a week, in order to feel comfortable doing the routines. I would skip around to select songs/routines so that I could learn just a few at a time, and work my way up to the whole disc. On any given day, I usually only do 30-35 minutes of my favorites on these two longer discs, but I love that I have a variety of songs/routines to choose from (55-60 min) and can switch it up each time if I want. I've now had this compilation for almost 2 years, and think that I will be able to use them for years to come. I also do live Zumba classes for some variety, but I love that I can get a great workout with these routines that have become some of my favorites.

Zumba Fitness Incredible Slimdown is ABsolutely amazing!! My set came with 5 DVDS, 1 program guide, 1 nutrition guide, and 1 pair of sole control wraps. DVD 1: Quick Start and 20 Minute Express. In Quick Start, I love the way the instructors teach you the moves, which are very easy to follow! Hermann Melo is an amazing dancer! (he is the one in Quick Start, and Zumba Max). Not only is he an amazing dancer, but he looks like he's having a blast while working out! Hermann is my favorite instructor out of them all. 20 Minute Express is a very nice quick workout that always seems to fly by. DVD 2: Super Cardio Dance Party. This workout is pretty high intensity, but always know you can take it at your own pace!! They have added cardio bursts which is such a great thing for Zumba! I love the instructors! Kiss Martin is awesome! My two favorite songs from DVD 2 Vem Vem, and Give It Up. DVD 3: Zumba Max. The music makes you want to dance and it is such a fun workout! My favorite songs from this one are Dj Dale Play, Violint, and Marionetta. Watch for Hermann Melo!! The amazing dancer! You'll recognize him from Quick Start. DVD 4: Latin Burst. This high energy workout has cardio bursts and has great music! The cardio bursts are so helpful as they burn calories in less the an hour! 35 minutes. The instructors again are so fun! DVD 5: Global Burst. The music in this workout has lots of great rhythms, to the point where you get the songs stuck in your head! :) This DVD also has great cardio bursts, as you dance, dance, dance for 40 minutes! The program guide is so helpful and it gives you great ideas for your workouts. I LOVE ZUMBA so much when it says to "rest" I just do "my choice" for what DVD I do that day!!! The nutrition guide has awesome recipes. The sole control wraps are a great touch too! I LOVE ZUMBA FITNESS!!! I would absolutely would recommend this to anyone trying to lose weight, tone up, look sleek, or get freaking ripped! Thank you so much Zumba!
