[Nokchawon] Cafe Base Syrup for Tea, Easy to Make at Home, Easy to Use, Tube Type, Mascovado 50% Black Sugar Latte

I use this for brown sugar milk tea and it tastes so good! It’s a thicker consistency which I like.

I was very shocked at how good this tasted. I had been making a syrup of sorts with brown sugar and honey to sock my boba pearls in when I cook them and they were ok, but I always wanted something better. I say this and decided to give it a try. Pros - it is good, comes out thick and yummy, makes nice drizzles inside the sides of the glass for presentation, did I mention it is really tasty, it's dark and rich, mixes well with the pearls Cons - a little pricey, it takes more than a couple of minutes for it the be absorbed by pearls (as matter of fact I am still increasing the time they sit together to find the sweet spot so the pearls taste like the syrup, right not it kind of plan-Jan when you bite into the pearls) I will continue to order because it taste great.

This is just like the black sugar you get in the black sugar milk tea. It has a great flavor. We add it to milk tea, coffee, ice cream. It's fabulous!

It has good flavor, but I had not noticed (or can find anywhere it mentioned except the AI question system) that this contains sucralose, an artificial sweeter. Sadly, I seem to be sensitive to the flavor of artificial sweeteners and hate the aftertaste I get from them. If you're fine with that, then this has good flavor and will fit the bill for black sugar syrup, but if, like me, you hate artificial sweeteners, well then, here's your warning. Deducted a star for not mentioning this anywhere on the page.

Tastes great in drinks and on ice cream

I love my milk tea to be a little more on the sweet side and I'm always in a hurry. I purchased this to make my mornings easier. The price was a little more steep than wanted but better than my two hour drive with kids to the only Asian market near me. I added some of this to my tapioca pearls while I Cooked them stove top. Then I add that with cream and coffee and an extra splash of this syrup and the pearls. SO good! I definitely reccomend!

Contains sucralose (Splenda)! It smells nice, and the initial flavor is good, but the aftertaste from the sucralose absolutely ruins it. I'm very disappointed, it was not pointed out anywhere until I was able to read the translated label. So, if you're like me and are sensitive to non-sugar sweeteners, don't waste your time and money on this.

Definitely it's money worth! This syrup is damn similar to the one they add in boba tea. I really like it, and its thick texture allows for creating patterns on a clear glass. It even goes well with matcha, though keep in mind the tea's color won’t stay green anymore 🫠.
