Great flashlight for the price, but not as pictured!
I've purchased five of these red flashlights from Amazon (one mode option), one two-pack and then a three-pack. The item advertised/photographed, with the FordEx Group logo on one side and the FG-K1 on the other, is not the product that arrived; all of mine read "HWS/wys Ultrafire" on one side and "Cree Q5" on the other. Aside from those differences, they look identical to the ones in the pictures. The ones I purchased included free shipping, but they took a couple of weeks to arrive from China. I was specifically looking for the FordEx brand as they had been highly recommended by an article I'd read, so it was disappointing to search for that brand and model, get a result from Amazon, but then receive a different product (the first two arrived in boxes; the last three arrived in a padded envelope, each in bubble wrap). Maybe they're one and the same, but I would consider this misleading advertising at the very least...That being said, I've used all flashlights now for an extended period of time (even dropped a couple) and they all work without any issues and seem to be well built. The beams are not consistent (slight difference in brightness from one to the next), but they are bright, and the ability to focus the beam with the zoom in/out feature by pulling on the bulb side is a nice feature. To insert the single AA battery each flashlight needs to operate, one needs to unscrew the 1/4" cap on the side that has the orange on/off switch. On all units, this cap arrived screwed in tightly, so I had to use a pair of pliers to get it loose. Likewise, the focus in/out feature arrived fixed at its widest focus/beam setting. This model focuses the beam (makes the beam wider or narrower) by pulling the bulb cap housing (top 2" opposite of the on/off switch) in and out. One has to pull hard to break the seal before being able to take advantage of this focusing feature. I haven't really tested the seals to see how water-proof they are, but I suspect that they're not all that tight; probably okay if they get sprayed, but not sunk. Overall, other than the bait and switch issue, which still leaves me wondering if I have what I purchased, I'm satisfied with the torches and the $4 per flashlight price tag, including shipping.

No guarantee as to 3-mode vs 1-mode
It's worth noting time and time again: when ordering a CREE Q5 LED Flashlight from an average Amazon seller, there is absolutely no guarantee as to the flashlight's manufacturer and whether you get a 1-mode or a 3-mode version. In my case, although the order clearly stated "FordEx Group ... 3 Mode Red" and the seller was rated 4.6 out of 5.0, I received a generic 1-mode flashlight definitely not made by FordEx. From my and other buyers' experience, getting the right item is an exception, not the rule for this particular product.BTW, the 1-mode flashlight that I received consumes x2.5 more power (5.0W vs 2.0W) and shines x2.5 more brightly (measured with a lux meter) when powered by a 3.7V LiON 14500 battery instead of the usual 1.2V NiMH AA. It consumes 30% more power and shines 30% more brightly than my 3-mode CREE Q5 LED flashlight at full brightness. Get the 1-mode version if brightness is more important to you than the availability of the low-intensity and blinking modes.

Nice torch but slow delivery.
Nice light at a good price, but took a looong time to get here. Has the three modes of operation that you can cycle through by tapping the on/off button _once_ _it's_ _turned_ _on_ which is kinda cool, even though I haven't actually found a use for the other two modes. Nice bright LED and the ability to zoom from flood to spot is very useful, which is why this is my third flashlight of this style. Would have been five stars if it got here sooner.

(Gonna start checking where it ships from before I order) I like the simple on/off switch
Well, since it had to swim all the way from China, it took a while to get here.(Gonna start checking where it ships from before I order) I like the simple on/off switch. No flashy blinky things to cycle through to get it to burn steady.Uses AA batteries. You can order others, but it is pretty bright with the AA's.

OK!
What you would expect from a $4.00 flashlight. I really like the look and feel of it. It is pretty bright. The biggest complaint is when you zoom in all the way for a tight spot, you can actually see the reflection of the LED chip on the object you are shining on.

Great light,love it!
I'm a big believer in having more then one or two flashlight in the home, never know when you're going to need one. This little flashlight is great, the beam of light it throws is excellent for something so small. Don't get me wrong it's not tiny it's over three inches long, it's just small compared to most flashlights. Well made, sturdy, reliable and for me a must have and my new go to light whenever I need one. I love this flashlight!

She loved it- mostly because it was RED
It was a gift. She loved it- mostly because it was RED. However, in all fairness, she did remark on the nice clip to attach it to her purse, the compact size, the brightness and the easy on/off switch.

Don't Waste Your Time or Money
This flashlight is not worth wasting your time or money on. I bought several, and although they worked well at first, after a while they all failed, they would not turn on. My opinion is that this is due to cheap design, manufacture, and an attitude of not caring enough to make a quality product.I wouldn't buy this again EVER.. It's just crap made in China, and plain old not worth it.
