ACE Apex

I have used on the beach and in fields, works great.

My old waterproof metal detector broke which was from a different company and after a lot of research, I decided to get this one. So far it has been amazing! No complaints. Works great in fresh water. I did buy the smaller coil and waterproof headphones separately, as those are not included. Can also purchase wireless headphones which is a great option for dry land detecting. Found 3 rings so far with it and a lot of coins.

I have been looking for a backup machine for a while and decided to give the Apex a try. I primarily use an AT Pro, so there wasn't much of a learning curve getting started with the Apex. It is lightweight and very easy to use. So far, I have taken it out and used it twice with very positive results. Over the two-day period I used it I found 493 coins, a silver ring, a musket ball, two old and one restorable pocket knives, a few miscellaneous hatpins and badges, and a number of other misc. items of interest (see attached picture). My overall impression just based on its first time finds is, it is a keeper. Nothing I found was deeper than six inches, so I really didn't check its depth ability. I used it in zero-mode mostly and after a short while I got used to "seeing" what the targets most likely were based on tone and reading. The iron separation seems pretty good, most notably since I was able to pick out a coin next to a railroad spike and other trash items. When I messed with it in coin-mode, it does an excellent job at eliminating iron-related targets. I also used the multi-frequency setting on a variety of different targets, but I really didn't notice a difference from manually selecting a certain frequency. Overall I do highly recommend the Apex, especially for someone just getting into the hobby. It is lightweight, has some great features for its price range, and most importantly it is very capable of finding things.

As a new detectorist, I have a lot to learn. Settings aren't over-complicated. I'm sure the machine preforms better than I do.

absolute piece of junk. I drove for hours and took a day off to metal detect, and the stupid thing bricked on me. no way to power it on. it was only a few months old. DO NOT BUY this garbage!!!!

Great metal detector

It’s working fine for me. But everyone will have a different opinion about this product.
