Near 9yr Old Becomes Surfer Using this Board ๐โโ๏ธ
Bought this surf board for our near 9 yr old grandson who weight 65 or so lbs. He is around 45โ in height. He has been body boarding up to this point in the surf and truly enjoys the beach. He recently watched surfers on Galveston Island and said he was ready to make that step. So we bought this board along with a better ankle leash as others did also. On its arrival he was over joyed and put on the fins and leash with a small amount of help. The next morning we went to the beach and headed out into the water. First try about 30 yards from shore he laid on his stomach to get accustomed to the balance. I lined him up with a wave and gave him a push which he rode all the way to shore. 2nd try I lined him up with a wave gave him a push he started on his stomach and raise up on knees and made it almost to the shore. 3rd try I we did all the same and he made it to standing up and went about 10 yards before falling into the water. 4th try all the same again but this time he made it to shore standing up, jumped off and did a happy dance. For the next 2 hours he had multiple results but stayed with it and having 4 complete rides to shore and several near shore rides, plus multiple falls. But had one those greatest times of his life. He says he is now a true surfer for life. The board is a foam board with a nice covering thatโs a beauty and looks sweet (according to him). It has a nice slick bottom with the 3 fins. So, if you are questioning buying one for a kid 100 lbs and less and they really want to give surfing a try. Our grandson loves it and says it is well worth it. His Nonnie and I already have several pics and videos of his enjoyment ๐โโ๏ธ๐ We are heading out again for his 3rd outing of fun. We hope yโall get as much enjoyment as we are. We also weโre not paid by or affiliated with this company.

Invest in a better board
The quality is just lacking on this. When we received it, there was a dent which we decided we could live with. However the leash was missing. Customer service sent it out quickly but when it arrived we were weary of how long it would last. My stepson has taken the board out 2 times, and so far: The fins warped (no idea how. It wasnโt been tremendously hot days). The fins became loose and wobbly (one came out completely). The leash broke Suffice to say this was a waste of money. Just invest in a better board.

Good looking and itโs lite.
Barely more than an elongated boogey board. Based on my experience I doubt seriously the advertised 110 max weight capacity. However, itโs perfect for our 3 1/2 your old grand daughter who can already stand and balance on a surf board in a pool and wants to surf like Lilo and Stitch. She weighs 35 lbs and is almost 40โ tall. If she learns how to get up and stand and ride in the gentle swells towards the beach and it lasts three seasons, it will be worth it. She loves the colorโฆ. BTW - her mama learned how to surf at 8 and beat the heck out of her fiberglass board for years. Iโm sure our granddaughter will graduate to a board like that too. In the meantime it will be a great starter board.

Good
It was good for my 7yo kid, who is 4.1 and a little over 60lb. He stood up with no problem. The only problem is the leg Velcro stopped holding well after 2 weeks of daily use, but itโs fixable - we used one from our boggy boards

Great value and fun for the money
Exactly as described and arrived in good shape. Paint is rubbing off while applying wax. This does not affect the function of the board. Our 7 year old is up and riding waves having the time of his life. Not too stiff, could be a priblem for heavier riders 100lbs +. The board is super light weight and easy to carry. If it turns out to be more duable than i thought and we are still riding it at the end of next season i will change the rating to 5 stars. Update: At the end of the first season a couple of big bubbles developed on the standing surface. Still good for the money. Update2: end of season 2 and this thing has almost completely fallen apart. Top cover has debonded completely. Tried gluing it with foamboard adhesive but no luck. We used it almost every weekend for two new england summer seasons. Good value.

Decent beginner board for cheap!
Come on people, this is the lowest cost board you can buy that still works! My kids surf with this board and it has lasted pretty good so far. Just dont be stupid and leave in hot car or stand on top of in sand. The board top scratches and punctures easily, so just beware of this and trim nails. The board should last you a season, or just long enough for your kid to want something better when skills improve.
