It’s very detailed. Many parts. It’s a nice quality model.
Some of the parts are tiny, almost insignificant unless you’re extremely particular. However, it’s beautiful and made my 9 years old son very happy. It’s in a clear plastic display box.

All is Good. Finally arrived
I finally received the car model kit and all seems well. The seller wanted me to remove my original negative response, but I do not know how. But I am so glad I finally received the package which came late. Perhaps other buyers will have better luck getting their kids on time. I hope you’re happy seller.

fun model kit
Full disclosure - I don't normally build models of cars. If you're familiar with AMT's model cars I'm sure you already know a lot of what I'm going to say. This is a plastic model kit based on the '58 Plymouth Fury featured in Stephen King's "Christine", and the John Carpenter movie of the same name. Right off the bat I feel like I should probably mention a couple weird inaccuracies... Like, the "Belvedere" name molded into the body, or just having one air filter on the engine. Neither of those is a huge issue, but it might be worth mentioning if you're going for something that's wholly movie-accurate. The kit itself is molded primary in bright red plastic. This means you don't need to paint the body... But just about everything else will need to be painted. And this plastic doesn't like paint. You'll probably want to sand and prime it before trying to paint anything. But I also noticed a few spots where it seemed like maybe there was some lingering mold-release? So you might want to do a quick dip in some soapy water, too. In addition to the red plastic you've got a bit of white for the whitewall tires. The tires themselves are a nice rubber. There's some clear parts for the windows and headlights. And there's a runner of chrome parts. The plastic, on the whole, is kind of unpleasant. It's very brittle. It picks up tool marks every easily. There's some serious mold lines and gate marks that'll need to be dealt with. There's some warping here and there. And none of it likes to be worked with. The chrome parts are especially hard to work with. You'll need to be very careful cutting them off the runner because it's the same bright red plastic underneath - anything you need to trim or sand is going to leave red spots on your chrome. The chrome coating protects the plastic, so you can't use normal plastic cement. And the chrome is so smooth and non-porous that even superglue doesn't work great. I'd recommend roughing-up the contact surfaces with some sandpaper prior to gluing. The instructions aren't great. There's a few big diagrams that show a dozen parts coming together, but exactly where some of those parts go isn't clear. I had to hunt around looking for matching slots and tabs to figure out where things went. The runners themselves aren't numbered or labelled or anything - just the individual parts. So you have to search across all the runners for each part. And the parts aren't necessarily numbered sequentially. 15 might be right next to 14 and 16... Or it might be over with 44 and 46. And there was at least one part that was completely mislabeled. I spent quite a while looking for part 15 before I realized it was actually part 515. But, all that said, the kit looks pretty good once it's done. And it was a fun way to spend my evenings for a couple weeks.

It’s a model and requires building like one - but Christine!
I’m in the middle of building this nostalgic car (it was probably the first “horror” movie I ever saw when I was a kid and I loved Christine and read the book afterward and loved it!) and it is so fun to put together. I’ll post pics as soon as I’m done (done and posted!). Waiting for paint and lacquer to dry so I can polish it brilliantly. Speaking of paint, I have to say the negative reviews criticizing the light red mold color is a very amateurish statement. You still have to prime and paint it like any other top-end model kit (duh!) and you can even choose to paint the body or anything else whatever you want. I chose to go with the stock glossy red, cuz I mean it’s Christine, baby, and she deserves to be what she is. Anyway, get her (and yes, you still have to get tools and cement and all other things in addition - you’re insane if you think at this price it’ll come with everything haha).

Nice kit
Ordered two of these, one for me and the other as a gift. Nice kit. Have to started building it yet but looking forward to it. Comes modeled in red, but will probably paint a different color red. Nice kit!

Loved the film years ago , recently got back into modelling and bought this model . Very nice model to build watched film again to found certain details . Should be a 2 carb set up on engine and the interior is pure red . Hardest part was the paint job , I sprayed all 3 colours chrome white and red . Couple of parts on instructions were a bit hard to follow so I would dry fit everything if building it especially the front suspension and exhaust as seem to go through same area and not enough room

Nice sized model, yes its basic and simple but for fans of the book and film or just the car like me i am sure will love building it. it arrived safely, most of the model is made from molded red plastic and you get a sheet of chrome parts as well. the instructions are straightforward, i've not finished mine yet, i had to stop working on it as she bit me while i was installing the radio :) the first model to draw blood had to be christine. Update 16/3/15 Finished the model today, fairly happy but the front end looks jacked up, much to high to be accurate and the front panels are misaligned making it look horrible when looking at it head on. i will also say that some of the smaller parts were a nightmare to remove from the molded frame and i broke several of them trying to get them off. still a nice basic model but has its flaws so dont bother if your looking for a perfect scale model.

Staying true to the nature, ot was a pain to put together at times, but satisfying once it was together, most of it was easy to build, and looks fantastic
