Best Rechargeable Battery I've Found (Thanks to NYT Wirecutter Testing Reviews)
These are the best performing rechargeable batteries I've found; and their relatively low cost (1.25/ea) when purchased in a larger quantity adds even more satisfaction to this purchase. Three of these AA HiQuick batts kept a small LED lantern well lit longer than the costly 3133mAh and 2440 mAh Li-on rechargeable brands I had recently bought. I ended up returning both brands of the Li-on's after finding some in the packages were defective - totally dead batteries (zero voltage, no charge activation). Another thing I discovered to be a positive about these Ni-MH batteries over the Li-on batts is that you can observe the relative rate of discharge as the lantern begins to dim, or on the level of charge indicator on the TV remote display, or with your tester. Li-ons deliver above 95% output level throughout their charge recharge cycle. Then just quit... unexpectedly! For example, I was listening to an NFL game highlight early one morning on the TV with my Roku headphones, before my wife was up and awake, when suddenly the headphones disconnected and the TV blared loudly startling my wife awake, I had to scramble to unplug the TV to stop the blaring volume. Not great using Li-on batts and not knowing when the device will just quit unexpectedly! Thank you HiQuick! Great, dependable Ni-MH batteries!

HiQuick Rechargeable Batteries
This is my second year using these rechargeable batteries, just purchased these because I needed more. They may not last as long as energizer per say, but they are definitely worth the money. They charge really fast, and they do last a while. Don't hesitate to buy

Drains fast/ Recharges only up to 60%
UPDATE (02.28.22) - (Dedicated customer support and commitment to quality). A few months after posting my initial review a representative form the company reached out to me (several times) to apologize and express their commitment to quality. In no way did they try to bribe me into rewriting a better review, but they did relay their wish to send me another set of batteries to replace the bad ones I had initially received. Shortly after agreeing, I was sent my 8 replacement batteries. To my surprise, unlike other NiMH sold on Amazon, these came DOA (dead on arrival). Of course my enthusiasm quickly diminished as I had to pull out my NiMH battery recharger to charge all 8. After 6-8 hours I had them all fully charged and ready to go. The last round of batteries from HiQuick would charge up to only show 100%, but when in actual usage would show a 50-60% charge. However, this new set showed a charge of 100% on both the charger, and in my devices (VR controllers). I’ve had them in the controllers for a few days, both in hours of play, and days of being idle. They have remained strong at 80%. So far, these batteries have proven themselves to be worth the $. Despite them coming in DOA, they fully charged within hours and seem to hold their charge and remain strong. With this, I’m updating my review and giving them 4 stars, one for the mishap of the bad batteries the first time around. I’ll check in to the review in a few weeks/months, and if they still perform well and hold their charges, I’ll update the score further. (original review) Bought these on March 2021. Charged them right out of the box and stored them until today. Put them in my in my VR headset controllers to find that they are now dead (see photo). Charged them to where the recharger indicator says they are full. Put them Back in my VR controllers to find they are only at 60%. Put them back in the recharger for another 4 hours to find out they only recharge up to 60%. Verdict- they don’t retain their charging capacity and bleed dry in less than 1 one year. Horrible brand. “Undependable” batteries are the worst, especially when you need them.

I'm impressed with these batteries!
I am very impressed with these batteries! During the holiday season last year, I bought outdoor garlands that had string lights in them to hang outside my home, and I used these batteries alongside Energizer batteries. The garland lights were all the same but these batteries outlasted the Energizer batteries by several days. They worked for 20 days in the garland before the lights started going dim. The Energizer batteries lasted for 7 days. Highly recommend!
