Fast paced, easy to learn, lots of fun and laughs
What a fun game! It's great for many age levels. I play it with my elderly mom. She is a true wordsmith! My only regret with this purchase is that I get my rear end handed to me every time I play against my mom...LOL. As a teacher, this would be a great game for center time, or for students to play in teams. It's fun and fast paced. Great for fine motor, OT, and maintaining cognitive wellness for seniors. Also, great for helping children learn and practice word patterns. Great for travel, restaurants, and game night.

Fast, fun, and easy to pack game!
This is a fun, fast-paced, easy to learn card game. The players agree on a 4-letter word at the beginning of the game, then the remaining cards are distributed among the players. Once the game begins, all players try to form new words by adding a new letter to the word (e.g. pint become lint). There are no turns, so everyone is quickly trying to play their cards by calling out each newly-formed word. The first player to use all their cards wins! This game is different from the cognitive challenge of forming words in the original Scrabble, which is a slower, more deliberate game. This is a fun alternative if you want something fast-paced and family-friendly, and would be perfect for road trips since it's easy to pack.

For those who want their children to learn four-letter words (the good kind)
This game has one purpose in my opinion, which is for elementary school kids to practice spelling and word formation in a fun way. The game is fast-moving, interesting, and challenging enough for that age group and it is a fine game for adults to play with them, but you'll have to do something to level the playing field if you're an adult who wants a truly competitive game. Adults will probably not want to play against each other. In terms of game play this would probably not even be in my top 10,000 games. There's no reason to talk down about this game, though. It accomplishes the goal, which is getting children to develop English language skills. Normal kids are likely to enjoy it. If you can spend $5-10 and get kids to repeatedly embrace an educational activity, you have spent your money well. Even if they don't learn much in the way of new material, kids can benefit from the word formation practice to cement their knowledge. It's a mass-market game, so the components (cards and a thin carboard box) are up to standard. I would rate the game itself a 3, but the value to the children is much higher. Can't complain about this game, as it meets all expectations. It's a no-brainer of a gift for kids 5-9 years old. Before playing, children should be mature enough to handle cards, and should know the alphabet well and be competent in spelling simple words.

FUN! FUN! FUN!!
We just received the game today! Played after dinner as a family and it was amazing!!! My teenage kids were really into the game and wanted to play over and over. Way Way better than the Scramble Board Game!!! The game really makes you use your brain and makes the dictionary come out in you! Wonderful family game! Well worth the purchase.
