Glad they still make these!
What can I really say? Lite-On has been around forever, they know how to make a drive, even if few of us remain that still use them! Nothing to say, really. I threw it in my Linux tower and it worked just fine, no fuss. Can't really ask anything more of it!

Good SATA DVD Drive
This SATA DVD drive was reasonably priced and easy to install. If your case has room for a drive, I would recommend this.

So far so good...
So far so good. It was a quick, easy install. Perfect DVD burns from from the start. 7 down, 9 more to go as of writing this. UPDATE I did have one burn failure. I believe it was error code 10 but I could be mistaken. It arrived inside of a factory bubble mailer. The Screws and Cable at the bottom. The drive wrapped in a thin sheet of paper and was inside of a plain clear plastic bag. I prefer to get bare minimum packaging. No need to pay for unnecessary garbage. Packaged nicely and arrived in less than 24 hours. I took away one star since the description reads "What's in the box: Optical drive, disc, cables, and screws." and that was not the case for me. The Disc was not included. It was unnecessary but was still missing. I will update this review if anything drastic happens but I am liking this Lite-On 24X SATA Internal DVD+/-RW Drive Optical Drive IHAS124-14 so far.

Great old hardware
Needed a burner for boot disks and photo sharing. My old drive refused to work. This one was shipped fast, installed without a problem, and worked like a champ. Was even very quiet for a cd rom burner. The included software refused to install but I have better software of my own. Great purchase. Very happy.
