Brooks Men's Ghost 12 Running Shoes

First off, I'm a walker, not a hardcore runner. I do some jogging, but nothing exhaustive. That may alter your outlook.However, I will say I have honestly never loved a shoe this much. I have extremely high arches. This can make any shoe murder on me if it doesn't have good support. Normally I have to outfit anything I buy with arch support. If you pound pavement hard in these, you'll probably still want some arch support in there, but for just strolling, these are great.I got these and they fit instantly. Never had a shoe do that. And they come with decent laces, which was a nice boon.The one thing I'll say is make sure you're lacing these correctly. I'd suggest using the extra eyelet to weave the laces so they fold over the top of your foot and redistribute pressure. I'd post a link to how to do this, but I'm fairly certain Amazon would take it down. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up "Lace Lock" or the like for an explanation. Makes a world of difference.**Update**Just to let you know, these have held strong for a year and a half and are still kicking around. No splits or problems with them at all. Again, I only use these for walking and hiking, but I do one or both on a daily basis, so these have some miles.Will be buying these again when this pair runs out. Or, I'll get them now and keep them for when I need them.

I love the Ghost 12. Brooks really messed up on the 13 and 14. I tried them both and it was more worth it to me to spend the extra money and get the older model on Amazon. The 12 can be washed in the washing machine and stands the rest of time. The 13 and 14 has less comfort and the insides ripped out of both of them. Also they cannot be put in the washing machine. I hope brooks bring back this comfort and durability on their next model!

I love the fit of these ghost 12s. However, the sole was peeling and I had to super glue them. I hope it holds up on my trip.

I am a Muay Thai kickboxer and and Type 1 Diabetic. I am constantly running, shadow boxing, and performing rigorous activities. I have never spent more than $60 on a shoe for excersize. After Losing a couple of toe nails and constantly getting calluses on my feet, I decided I needed some better, high quality technology based shoes. While the Ghost 12 may be more expensive than you average shoes, They are spectacular for my running and other excersizes. The shoe fits me very well and I feel protected on my runs. These shoes have helped me push my lower body through harder training sessions. Love these shoes!

I own a pair of Ghost 12s and a pair of Ghost 14s. The 12s fit my foot better.

After sending me the wrong size and going through the hassle of returning the other pair these would not exactly what I was looking for. The support is not as good as I thought it would be. The comfort level is just okay

Over the years I have always ordered a Brooks shoe that is a Size 13 in order to fit my Size 12 foot. This new size 13 shoe seems to be a bit longer, but I can still use it comfortably.

Moving from Brooks Transcend 4 to Ghost 12's and it's as comfortable as my previous ones. It's difficult to compare as 500 miles on a pair of runners will no doubt create some comfort changes even if they look new still. With these I am currently running 2 minutes quicker which is a huge difference and comfort has something to do with it. This also wasn't a one off as I have changed between the two and it is constant.These are nice to run it right from day one, I had my best 5k time of the year the first time I put them on and then the following run took off another minute. They of course have been replaced by the 13 now and no doubt the 14's are around the corner but having done 30 miles now I am happy to review and let you know how comfortable and easy to run in they are. I would have personally prefer a better colour but looking to do over 500 miles in the first half of the year will have me looking at the 13 and 14's by July.

Excellent trainers. Feel and comfort of a quality product

Was recommended Brooks Ghost 8 by a Sports motion Therapist to deal with knee pain. Haven't had knee issues since. I have bought a pair every 6-9 months depending on mileage (i swap every 650miles / 1100km's), after their running cycle they make awesome sneakers / Crossfit shoes.Brilliant shoes, great fit, comfort, build quality. Only pity is they are quite expensive.

Great shoe. I have a somewhat wide foot and had to return it for an E (wide fit). Previous shoe was a Saucony Triumph and this feels more comfortable although not as wide in standard fit.
