Did the job, made reception better

big piece of junk. it interfered with my tv reception instead, so when i went to unscrew it, it unscrewed completely, coming aparts and pulling the guts right out of it. not worth my time or money. and likely cost me twice to return it. do not recommend this item.

I purchased this in conjunction with a new digital antenna. All of my old antennas kept losing the signals, freezing up, or pixelated frequently. I now get clear signals without all of these problems. Was it the antenna, this device, or both? I don’t know, but for the price of this device I would recommend it if you are having digital signal difficulties.

Product states that the frequency response is 5-695 MHz. The low end 3dB point is at 144 MHz (see the response plot). So this cuts off some of the lower frequency TV channels. It is 43 dB down at 68 MHz. If you don't have lower frequency TV stations, then this filter does do a good job of attenuating the LTE band. It did stop the overloading of my preamp by LTE signals.

This filter really works! I cut the cable but I got static and a poor quality picture on my smart TV, afre reading on line I found many recommendations for simular filters that help block the static. Immediatly after I installed it my picture was clear- no static and much better picture quality. I was ready to try another antenna or go back to cable but this $10 filter fixed it!

This filter, when using an antenna, needs to be attached right at the TV input. If you have another device, such as an amplifier, it does not improve the signal if you put the filter between the antenna and the amplifier. Be aware that if you have weak stations that you can get without the filter, they are simply going to drop. These are stations though that 'breakup' sometimes without it. You also need to rescan your channels, and may need to reset the TV as well, which you can do simply by disconnecting and reconnecting the power source. The on/off switch alone will not do it. Also position your antenna facing toward the direction of the max channels and away from metal and other RF devices. I can get about 40 channels in the NE Detroit metro area. Worth it, but it is not cable or dish.
