USB-C to DB9

Use this to connect a Pinewood Derby timing gate (FastTrack) to a MacBook. Has been working well and provided no issues for me. Length was good, and didn't have any issues with Grand Prix Race Manager software connecting to it. It replaced a series of connectors to convert serial to USB-A.

I had problems with my old adapter when I upgraded to windows 11. I never could find a working driver for it. I bought this in hopes that it would solve that problem, and it did. It worked out of the box, no configuration or driver download needed. It seems nice quality, with removable covers on both ends, and the cable is nice and flexible. Best of all, it was just plug and play.

Ran out of the box no driver issues. It just worked. Cord is high quality too. What's not to like?

Bought these to connect into some Cisco Gear. attached this to my windows laptop, Win 10 automatically installed device driver. connected it to a Db9-RJ45 console cable, was able to program Catalyst 9300.

Windows 11 PC with only USB-C ports? This serial-to-USB converter is plug-and-play, it couldn't be easier! Plug in, wait a few seconds for the Windows audible "I'm ready" beep, and you are ready to go!

This RS232 to USB C cable arrived today and does not connect or work with my MACBook Pro running Sonoma. I went to the website and it only includes information for Windows even though it says it will run on a MAC. I have tried looking in the AppStore for drivers and found nothing for FTDI. Their site has drives but there is no mention of anything for a MAC. This is totally not what is advertised and doesn't function as a data cable for my needs of connecting it to an INNOVA ScanTool CanODB2.

The drivers worked out of box but they really should include an f to f adaptor. Those things cost pennies to include.

It was not working at first. The drivers installed and it didn't work. Did not work for over 24 hours. Now it works. The machine did not restart. I really don't care as long as it continues to work.

Sur le site du fabriquant, les pilotes sont anciens et ne fonctionnent pas avec les versions récentes de Windows 11. Ne fonctionne pas non plus avec Windows 10 sous Virtual Box ni Windows 11 sous Parallels Desktop.

Did not work; wouldn't communicate with my device and had to pick up another cable at a store in town.

I originally chosee this item to connect a DB9 device to a USB C on my work samsung tablet. The DB9 pin did not require secure screws. Therefore I was unable use the cable. I contacted the original device manufacturer of the DB9 device to obtain the connector, they do not manufacture them. I will need to McGiver something else. My purchase was gladly and quickly refunded. I would certainly do business with them again.
