Great game! 8 year old and 15 year old love it!! It can be on it s own or with expansion.

I love this game!!! The gems are so fun! I only gave it a 4 out of 5 because people are correct, the directions are lacking some information. We had to google some stuff.Also, you can play this game independently and you don't need another game to play it. I think the advertisement of it made it look like you needed another expansion to play it, so I am just clearing that up in case anyone is wondering. :)

We love all the century games

So I bought this just because I really liked the base game and had mixed expectations. When trying to learn how to play with friends, it's a nightmare. The manual leaves A LOT to interpretation, causing the learning experience to take a long time among friends. If you were to learn from someone that already knows how to play though, it's easy to learn. The next problem is if you want to learn from online, there's not a lot of resources on this game. Turns out this is the lowest rated Century Golem game, which is an impressive testament for the series since I really enjoyed this game and it became an easy group favorite. If you like the initial Century Golem game, you will like this one for it has the same spirit, but hang in there as you try to comprehend a manual made by someone not able to turn off their brain and pretend to know nothing.
