Mastercool (98061 Blue Digital Vacuum Gauge with Blow Molded Case

replaced my $600 sensor kit and worked perfectly.

We were looking for a inexpensive, portable unit, that would read & be compatable w/ an Agilent 531 Thermocouple. The unit & accompaning thermocouple work as stated, but will not work correctly w/ an Agilent 531 Thermocouple. Prior to purchasing the gauge unit we contacted the Mastercool mfg. & asked about our concern, we were told that if we opened it & tried the unit on one of our thermocouples & it did not work we owned it & could not return it. The unit does work as described, just not with any other thermocouple. Therefore I gave it a 4 star rating.

Fantastic deal. Very accurate and portable. Don't plan on using the meter with any other thermocouple than the one supplied with it; it won't work or will give bogus readings.

The silver/brass sensor plug part, comes apart from it's black outlet corded part. The problem is that the plug is loose in it's outlet & the readings jump around; so you can't get a constant & precise reading. And they fall apart all the time too. It's a delicate interface & their is no way to make them fit tighter. I can't be positive, because the readings jump all over, but it also seams to leak. Before that it worked great.

Quick and easy. We use it everyday in a controlled environment. Works well.

This product worked well as far as giving me the correct vacuum reading on the system but it did leak through the gauge set up so you can’t check for a leak with this system. I did read where others had this same problem but I was hoping that I got a good one…nope I was wrong!

Accurate, well built, professional grade.

Item received was used, they were dirty greasy fingerprints all over the unit and more importantly there was oil residue around the test port which is a big no-no for a micron vacuum gauge. in addition I went to re-order a replacement and to my surprise the unit was now at $222 and on my original purchase a few days ago it was at $139
