MAKE SURE you use the correct pin configuration.
My jet ski original display quit working. I ordered this tachometer from Amazon. The tachometer is on top. It uses a large 3volt button battery. I need to be able to use power from the jet ski. This regulator worked perfect. Tests at 3.25 volts with backlight off, and 3.23 volts with backlight on. Regulator stayed cool even with the backlight on.

Replacement part
I used one of these to replace a regulator on an ESP32 development module. So far, there have been no problems and the output is maintained at 3.3V.

Using these, plus current limiting resistor as a trickle charge for in-service li-ion CR2 batts. 12.8v input supply Works great!
