Love this pen. The Jotter XL is a larger version of the standard and iconic stainless-steel Jotter that Parker has been making for decades. It is legendary for the most satisfying ‘clicky’ noise of any retractable biro. I think this black version is a cool variation on the standard steel version of the XL. This larger version is ideal for people who have bigger hands or apricate a slightly bigger pen in the hand. It works with all standard parker biro refills (and third-party versions), I have tried mine with both the classic and newer gel refills and both are smooth and track free, you do have to apply slightly more pressure with the classic refill, but this is typical for the pen type. A classic pen totally worth the money.

I've been using the Parker Jotter XL in black for two weeks now, and it's been a pleasure. It’s beautifully designed—sleek, professional, and has a nice weight to it that feels great in the hand. The writing experience is smooth and effortless, and I appreciate the flexibility of using either ballpoint or gel refills. A dependable pen that looks as good as it writes. Highly recommended.

I really like the Monochrome Matte Black finish on this fairly priced Parker Pen & I like the fact that there’s a Roller Ball option in this style as well as a Fountain Pen. It comes with blue ink & I prefer writing in black ink & the ink refills are relatively inexpensive so this isn’t a big issue. It’s nice & weighty (not too heavy or too light) making it easy to write with & the ink just flows evenly & smoothly & this is with the blue ink pictured for this review & I’ve since put a black ink refill in & it’s exactly the same fine quality writing. I have read about poor ink flow on here but I still went ahead & bought this as I thought to myself ‘that has got to be down to the ink refill cartridge & not the pen’ as the pen really like most pens is just a carrying case for the ink. It’s a nice pen, it writes it’s smart too if that’s your style.

It's a parker pen. Nothing amazing about it, it's like the cheapest version. It works but then it's sometimes just down to the ink cartridge. The cartridge that come in this pen however flows very nicely.

The Parker Jotter XL is definitely a step up from the regular Jotter. It writes really well, with smooth ink flow and a comfortable grip, making it a pleasure to use for both short and long writing sessions. The larger size gives it a more substantial feel compared to the standard Jotter, which is a nice touch. It also comes presented in a nice box, making it a great option for gifting or personal use. The overall build quality is excellent, and it feels like a premium pen without the high price tag. 5 stars – A better writing experience than the Jotter, with excellent presentation.

This is an absolutely beautiful pen. It is comfortable to hold as it's a larger jotter pen. The ink flows pleasantly when writing. The clicking is also satisfying. The gold matte finish is so pristine and beautiful. I would recommend this pen to anyone who loves Parker pens and wants comfort at the same time. The arrow clip is also sturdy. Just be mindful when using this in front of other people as it is so beautiful it might end up in someone else's pocket!

My wife likes it and very much a nice shiny accessory for her job.

First thing - this pen is longer and thicker than the standard Papermate, by some degree, so unless you have large hands (I do), you might find this feels a little strange, compared to their usual slimmer, smaller model. This was originally ordered for my wife, but she complained it was too big, so I took it and ordered her the standard model. Both happy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like you’re trying to write with a baseball bat, and it’s a Papermate, which means it is probably the smoothest pen to write with in any reasonable price range, in my experience (and I’ve used and owned many makes and models, over the years). It’s also the most consistently reliable and this is equally well made as any Papermate I have ever owned (surprisingly few, given how well they are made and how well they last). Lastly, the price is ridiculous for a Papermate! What’s to quibble about, or question, here? I might well buy another one - but just in case I lose this one, as I am certain it will last and last and last and last and last and… You get the picture. Five out of five. Just be certain about the “XL” size. :)
