Fartfan present for the wife.
How romantic you say. Not really, but Uber function. The wife often refrained from using the fartfan in the master bath. Cause, she often refrained from turning it off for hours, and I'd come home and ask why the fan was still running ( for hours). Or, there was a question why the toilet closet smelled like a rotting corpse. And that is being generous. So, I killed two stinky birds with one stone with this purchase. First, with the timer installed, the hours long fan exhaust running nonstop was stopped. This is a major heat (or AC) suck. All that perfect temperature air goes out the roof, only to be replaced by whatever is outside. This is a lot of energy waste. Hours of energy waste. Second, cause someone is inclined to use the fan without "fear" of remembering to turn it off, it actually gets used. Consistently. No stinky toilet area. I even use it religiously, and, you know, my s#@& don't stink. Installation was easy. But, the instructions were not great. So, the hit on the stars. I'm not gonna recommend how to wire it up for liability reasons, but it is a standard 3 wire. White to ground. Fit in the box and cover is fine. 3 good wire nuts and install screws are included. Function of the timer is quite good. It is really nice to have a 1 or 5 min timer. The light up blue button for the selected timer is really nice too. In the end, it was an Xmas present that we can both enjoy - what is present, and what is absent. I liked it so much that I ordered her a second for the hallway bath. She kinda thanked me. Kinda.

A unitasker that does its one job well
Press a button, the thing that's hooked up to it runs for that many minutes. Or stays on or turns off, depending on which button you pressed. Pretty straightforward. I bought one a year ago for an exhaust fan, and now I'm back to buy two more for other fans. I marked the on, off, and 15 minute buttons because those are the ones we use the most. In case you wonder, it doesn't give any indication of how much time is left like some do. That's not a feature I needed. Easy install if you have experience installing a light switch or an outlet (if you've never done it, consult an expert). Remember that the description says you need a neutral wire.

Good switch numbers are tiny and could be larger
Works well and replaces mechanical timer switches with one difference: these timers require a neutral wire that is not required by mechanical timer alternatives. Usually this is not a problem except when the box is used for multiple switches and their associated wires. In my case, the neutral wires were tied together at the far back of the box and blocked by hot black wires. I needed to add and extender wire to the white bunch after difficulty in getting the white nut where I could finally unscrew it. The extender wire was then connected to the switch neutral with another wire nut. All worked well but the installation was not simple as expected due to house wiring issue. Downgraded one star because the times shown on the switch are tiny and could easily be made larger with the amount of white space available. WHY??

Buttons give you a choice on how long the fan will run.
These were easy to install and work well. With these switches you never have the fan running all night.

I like this switch!
I was upgrading the bathroom fan from an on-off switch to a timer, and I chose well. It is a high quality switch, and I like having multiple timer choices by push button, as well as ON OFF. Importantly, there is a nice blue light that tells you which timer is running. I think it looks good on the wall as well, and adds to our remodel. This was the perfect switch for my application and I recommend.

There is no ground wire in this timer!
Otherwise working as expected for about a week. As it is typically installed in bathroom, user must manage to connect ground wire to metal plate. Thats odd. Hopefully it will work reliably.

Works but hard to read
Timer works okay technically and looks fine on-screen, but in practice is hard to use. The legends on the buttons are in a thin stroked font, are light gray in color and are on the bottom half of a rounded surface so only people under 3’ tall can read them. Since most of us who wear glasses to read don’t use them in the shower it makes it even harder to choose what button to press. Less (who needs a 1 minute fan timer?) and larger buttons in a large bold font would be better. I’ll be returning this item.
