This towel is a very nice texture, attractive and feels quite durable. I really wanted to love it but I have a few issues. The tassels were very loose when it arrived so i spent some time pulling them tight before washing however a lot of them still came undone in the wash. They are also all different lengths which looks a little messy and unfinished to me. Another issue is that the peshtemal side and the terrycloth side are separate pieces that have been sewn together around the edges and on mine it appears that they were not cut to equal sizes because the terrycloth side is about two inches larger so it doesn’t lay or fold correctly. Because of this and the wonky tassel lengths i wonder if i was inadvertently sent a defective or irregular one. Those issues may just be specific to mine as opposed to it being a general problem. My main issue with this towel is actually that it’s just too big and thick. Typically this would probably be a positive when it comes to towels however i purchase peshtemal or Turkish style towels because they are lightweight and small when folded. We have limited storage space, a small washer/dryer unit and go to the beach and swim club often so Turkish towels are the perfect choice for us. I have a bunch of different style Turkish towels including a few others with terrycloth backing so know that they vary in size and thickness however this one is several times thicker than all of them and is so dense that it can only be folded a few times before it won’t fold any further. It is comparable in size, thickness and drying time to large standard American terrycloth towels not peshtemal towels, not even other terry peshtemals. If i had just wanted a nice quality beach towel then i would be happy with this but i was specifically looking for peshtemals because i want something thin, lightweight, quick drying and easy to travel with. The benefits of peshtemal/Turkish towels are lost with this one and i think it’s misleading to label it as such. In the pictures you can see that with other peshtemals and next to another terrycloth peshtemal it’s significantly different.

Extremely soft, perfect size. I bought this towel for a family member who has problems with sensitivity to textures and the regular bath towels were just too rough for them. This towel is the perfect size for drying off when bathing and washes beautifully. Love it so much that I’m ordering another for myself to take on my travels with me because it’s lightweight enough to pack and doesn’t fold up bulky. (I prefer bath sheets vs regular sized towels). This can also be used at the beach as it’s large enough. Very satisfied.

I don't typically leave reviews; however, I wanted to leave a review because I am never happy with the towels that I buy but this purchase changed that. In the past, I've bought towels that lose their softness after the first wash, or they shrink or lose color. I ordered these for a family camp trip, but didn't expect much because of the low price. To my surprise, they arrived beautifully packaged and are ultra soft!! They were much longer than I expected as well. I also like that they give a portion of the sales to Rainforest Trust and Marine Mammal center. I washed them as soon as soon as they arrived and couldn't believe that they retained their softness and integrity after a normal permanent press wash (I don't like taking the time to do special wash cycles). The last picture shows the towel after washing it. I like them so much that I am going to keep them for our summer towels rather than throw away camp ones. I just hope they retain their beautiful color through the summer pool parties. Overall, pleasantly surprised and would buy again.

This towel is not a traditional Turkish pestemal towel -- it has looped, regular-towel like cotton on one side. I didn't realise that when I purchased so it's a little heavier than I was looking for (I wanted it for travelling). That being said, it is gorgeous and feels luxurious: thick and soft. Really lovely. I'm looking forward to using it.

I've purchased these towels in the past from a catalog at twice the price. It was the first time I had seen towels of this type. This time I shopped around and these towels are every bit as nice as the others, and at half the price. They are light weight but absorbent and a dream to wash!

I was always skeptical of Turkish Towels and their ability to absorb water, but after using one at a 5 star resort I became hooked. 1) They're so much easier to pack when I travel 2) they can double as a sarong/wrap 3) they're incredible soft and not rough like a towel. I decided to try Laguna's Turkish Towel since I loved their other towels so much and I was not disappointed. The packaging was very nice (this would be a great gift BTW) and it's so soft. The blue and white stripes make me feel like I'm back in Greece (or Turkey). Five star review!!! Will be giving these as gifts this holiday season.

I wasn't sure what to expect with a Turkish towel but I loved the design so decided to give it try and I am so happy I did. The towel is so pretty in person and perfect for the beach or lounging. One side feels durable and the other side is really soft. What I especially loved about this towel is the larger size. The material is lightweight though so it's easy to roll up and pack. Will definitely be swapping my normal bulky beach towels for these Turkish towels! Am also excited to get these for friends as gifts!

Omg I absolutely LOVE these towels! The material feels like it should be more than it cost (Great and sturdy). I bought 4 of them and I will say that I like the beautiful designs they have to offer. It’s a Turkish Style yet in a modern way! The size is larger than your average towel and it very accommodating to plus size people. These towels are worth the purchase!
