This clock was just what I was looking for. Wanted a wood "look" clock in a grandfather style with a pendulum. Most options were either too expensive or too large. The "finish" on the plastic housing gives a nice appearance of aged wood stain. The dimensions of this clock were perfect for the wall space I needed to fill. I did have to follow the manufacturer's suggestion of removing the back to securely attach the pendulum to the swing arm. The slot for the AA battery was too tight to get the battery to completely seat. But, it went in far enough to start the mechanism. Only had it a day so can't speak to the movement's accuracy. We'll see. To anyone complaining that this is cheap - uh, you only paid $24 bucks for it. This is not an heirloom piece. It's not going to be a bequest in your will (unless you have a lousy estate). But, if you're looking for an inexpensive, compact grandfather styled wall clock with pendulum action - look no farther... UPDATE: Clock movement running for 4-days... Spot-on accurate...

Bought this for my son for Christmas I am sure he's going to love it

The battery socket is small for AA battery, it pops out after sometime and the clock stops. It happened 3-4 times and when I took it over to adjust it 5th time, the clock fell down. As I liked the design so much, I tried to glued the broken part but now the battery won’t fit at all. Very disappointed. I should have returned first time when the battery is not sitting properly. For being considerate and accommodating I am paying the full price.

After two years the pendulum had stopped moving. Turns out the metal plate in back had become magnetized. Once I took off the pendulum attachment and moved the metal plate on the back of the pendulum through a $6 demagnetizer several times, movement was restored. There's probably more expensive ways of demagnetizing the metal plate, but this was good enough to restore movement again for what ultimately is a decorative element. Also it does not handle even cool temperatures very well. if the temperature gets near or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the clock will lose time, usually lagging several hours more each night.

I like it looks like an old clock and is accurate on the time. I saw other reviews saying its cheaply made. Yes, its plastic but it was reasonably priced and it works well for what I wanted so I'm happy with it. We've had it for a while an no problems.

What is the trick to the pendulum without using super glue?! Highly frustrating, no directions. Cute clock tho.

This is a very nice looking clock. It keeps perfect time and it looks great on my wall in the living room.

If I could give this clock 2.5 stars I would. We ordered one clock and it kept time for a while. Then died. Then we ordered a 2nd because we loved the clock itself. Upon arrival of clock #2, the 1st clock began running & keeping accurate time. After asking for a Cl#1 refund. So we decided to keep both clocks. Couple weeks later Cl#1 died. Took it to a repair shop & it would cost at least $70 to fix. Now we r past return time ……on Cl#1. Still love Cl#2 but are out cost of Cl#1. Recommendation: cute clock … if it die send back immediately
