This is a fantastic door stop. We have purchased 2 of these for 2 different houses & I’m about to order a third. It can be mounted high at the top of the door or low, down at the bottom of the door. A low mount allows you to unlatch it quickly with your foot, which is convenient at times when your hands are full. But we have also used a top mount when the situation requires it & it works perfectly fine that way, too. It acts as a regular door stop at all times. With the hook engaged, it also acts to hold a door open & we use it this way all the time. Wind has almost no effect on it—it doesn’t rattle at all & holds the door securely. The hook has never disengaged on its own. It is heavy metal, sturdy, and of great quality. Ours is currently mounted outdoors and has been there a year and looks as good as it did the day we put it up. It’s a terrific price for the quality. The silver one (brushed nickel?) is a great color that looks like stainless steel. I really need to order the brass/gold color for my next purchase, but just from the photos on the sale page, I don’t care for it. I’d love a more natural looking brass. I may have to order the black instead.

This is a well-built, nice looking door stop that allows the door to be held open so that wind or other movement doesn't push it shut. It's very easy to install.

The products finish is nice and it holds the door well. I have purchased the item twice now. If you are installing one or two I would tell you it is a great product. The reason for the four stars is the installation.. The screw holes are lined up off center so you can not get an exact level. The flange is too small to use a screw gun for the head hits the stop so it has to be screwed in by hand. The screws are small and not strong so you need to pre drill the holes. That said it takes time to install. They should have had a mounting plate and then have the stop screw over the top to cover.

This thing is awesome for little kids that love going into a room and closing the door. The quality is nice and doesn’t feel cheap at all.

I love this door stopper/holder... My door would close about a 1/4 of the way on its own which was annoying. This allows me to keep the door open while at the same time keep the handle from wreaking the wall. I did put it up at the top of the door so my roomba wouldn't run into it. Overall It looks great and functions perfect ... I'm probably going to buy a few more for other rooms too.

I bought these because I have twin boys, 16 months old. One twin is obsessed with slamming doors shut! I was afraid for his brothers fingers (I mean I’m still afraid lol) but this solved the issue of him slamming their bedroom door! It didn’t come with instructions, or it had a QR code. I’m more of a wing-it type person anyway- I’m not downloading an app and creating an account for instructions. I used a 9/64 and 15/64 drill bit for the pilot holes.

Awesome device. Easy to fit and works like a charm, we use it on a door between house and garage that has a spring close. Its great as a stop, to prevent the handle hitting teh wall, and brilliant as a door holder.

The screw is of poor quality. The screw head was broken during installation. Now the door stopper is supported with a screw instead of a pair of screws. The biggest problem here, there is no way to remove the broken screw head from the door!

I have a heavy door with a strong door closer, and this product was the only one that manages to keep the door open with the hook. Great look and slim shape.
