Have went through hundreds of these bags. They hold up well and protect from freezer burn for years. Between good bags and the chamber style sealer, you can't go wrong.

My first order of these 8x10 bags was dropped in the driveway by the delivery driver, spilled every where and was rejected owing to poor packaging by Amazon. Had to reorder, which took several days. To be candid, this size, 8x10" is not ideal for us or our Avid Armor USV32 chamber vacuum sealer . But it is all that is currently offered as the ideal and our preferred 11x13" bags are out of stock with no estimate of availability, if ever. A 11x16" textured bag is available but that is about 3" too long for our USV32. Though smaller, these composite nylon/PE bags are as sturdy and rugged as ever. It is just that they are not as roomy. So they are not as suitable when repacking items bought on sale, or in bulk for the freezer. Depending on the use, we often get multiple uses out of a bag by washing them. A bag will grow successively shorter over time, and in some cases will develop leaks due to excessive folding. When too short or when a leak develops only then are the bags discarded. Unfortunately owing to their composite construction, these bags are not recyclable in a standard PE bag recycle stream. We mitigate that by using and reusing them as much as possible before ultimately discarding them in the normal trash. This is no different from the fate of a FoodSaver bag, which has a similar composition, but is textured to allow for evacuation in that type of machine. We use the chamber vac system several times a day, every day. But we don't go through a lot of bags as I related above. Moreover, this type of sealer and the bags is very economical compared to the FoodSaver type system, once one is past the price premium difference in the basic machine. The chamber vacuum system works hands down better. Prior to obtaining an Avid Armor chamber vacuum, we were FoodSaver users for 20+ years. We will never go back to that system.

I have no complaints with these vacuum bags. They work great for larger items and bulk storage. Of course, the size is relative to your machine, but for my smaller chamber vacuum, they fit perfectly. What I really like about the larger bags is that you can easily seal them down into smaller bags. My unit generates a double seal, which means you can slice right down the middle of the two seals to get two medium bags out of one big bag. It's important to note that these bags WON'T work with basic FoodSaver-style units because they lack the little dimples that allow air to flow through. However, that’s what makes these bags so effective—there's no doubt that they remove all the air when using dedicated chamber vacuum bags. For anyone curious about the inner dimensions, the border is 1 cm, giving you a practical opening of about 7.25 inches wide. I also noticed a convenient tear notch on the ends, which is a nice touch! Overall, I've been pleased with these vacuum bags. They are sturdy, reliable, and do exactly what I need them to do for my vacuum sealing needs. If you're using a chamber vacuum, these are definitely worth considering for your storage solutions.

Do not listen to the people that are leaving 1 star reviews it says on the package NOT FOR USE WITH EXTERNAL VACUUM SEALERS these are awesome bags people need to pay attention to what there buying and stop leaving bad reviews on something they know nothing about these are for chamber vacuum sealers not your cheap table top ones

I’ve been using Avid Armor 10x10 vacuum bags with my Anova Chamber Vacuum, and I have to say, they’ve been a solid choice. These are really useful, strong bags -- but make sure they're actually the size you want. The dimensions are totally accurate, but they really seem much smaller once you've got food in them!
